   Another fantastic meal at St Helena’s. I’ve been coming here for 25 years since meeting my wife — and she’s been visiting since she was 16, so 37 years! That alone tells you something about how special this place is. On arrival we were greeted by the ever-cheerful team and shown to our table. We’d invited a couple of friends to join us, and as always the evening started perfectly with a delicious little amuse bouche and fresh bread. Starters were a hit all round, with the Haggis proving particularly popular. The main courses were spot on too — cooked beautifully and full of flavour. The wine flowed nicely, with both the rosé and red going down very well. After a relaxed break we moved on to the cheese course, which was excellent as always. Service was impeccable throughout — warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming. Price-wise, I think it’s exceptional value for the quality you receive. Huge thanks to Raf, Frank and the whole team for the consistently excellent experience you provide. Bedford is lucky to have such a fantastic restaurant. Keep up the great work — we’ll see you again very soon!

   I was on the waiting list when tried to book a table 2 days before. We were lucky that the manager accommodated us to celebrate my friend's birthday. Love the food, vegetarian options are limited but you are spoilt for the choices with deserts. Deserts taste very fresh and delicious.

   The most incredible restaurant I have ever eaten, and I have been all over the world. The service was outstanding, the food was so delicious, all of the courses that I had, that I would say this was the best meal I've ever eaten. All I can say, is this is a must try. Highly recommended!

   This is a superb, classic British restaurant. Everything here is good. The service is attentive, clear and helpful. The food is sublime, with really well thought through dishes, a great range of options, fantastically tasty and some lovely wines. The atmosphere is great, and the prices are fair for a fine dining restaurant like this - not cheap, but definitely not extortionate either. We really enjoyed it, and look forward to coming again.

   Went on the 30th of November with 12 friends to celebrate my Civil Partnership to Sue. As usual every thing was brilliant Food and the Service. Eight of the party had never dined there before and were blown away by everything saying it was the best dining experience they had ever had... I would say 5 stars is not enough... Mine-Host was as ever superb.

   I dined for the first time at St Helena's in Elstow on Wednesday after hearing from friends of their experiences. I was not disappointed. The setting was beautiful, staff's attention to detail was superb and the food, well, my son who is 6 foot 7 and has hollow legs rolled out of there, full and very happy. The food was amazing. Well presented and absolutely delicious. I was so full, I couldn't have the coffee. Thank you St Helena for making my retirement visit a visit that I'll always treasure x
