21st April 2025, First and only ever visit. Was greeted at the door and seated at table 8. Female with over bleached, very short hair middle-aged. came over to take our drinks order. I politely asked it there was a drinks menu. Only for her to laugh in my face? I was shocked at how rude she was so quickly said I would have a bottle of cider to which she said they only have boldmere and Thatchers. I said I would that Bolmeres only for her to be rude and abbrpt and say they don't have Bolmeres ?? I ended up asking for Pepsi. This first encounter annoyed me. If it wasn't for the fact that the other 3 members of the family were with me, I would have walked away, I then ordered 6oz Gammon with egg and pineapple. Cutlery was flimsy and hard to even pick up chips. Gammon was inedible - full of fat and solid. Even with a stake knife, it was difficult to cut. Ended up just eating the chips, the peas were stone cold, so I left half the plate tomato's was off Toilets were disgusting and very unhygienic urine all over the floor toilets, seats broken, and toilet paper all over the floor and broken dispenser. I paid £53 for 4 meals, 3 x pops, and 1 non alcohol drink Other meals we had were fish n chips. Chicken and baked potato. Prawn salad also chewy cold of poor quality

Nice pub serving three real ales although two of them were nationals but Welsh pale ale was excellent. Busy preparing for Halloween with all staff dressed appropriately and cobwebs everywhere! Friendly staff and well worth a visit.

Beautiful food, huge portions, great selection for veggies & vegans too. We just turned up without a booking asking for a table for 10 and they were very accommodating. Would definitely recommend, especially if you are staying at Trecco Bay as just a short walk.

Disgusting lasagna complimented with attitude from the manager when I complained. They tried to argue that there was plenty of meat under the block of clodded cheese they presented. My mother's steak was like shoe leather. Wish we hadn't chosen this venue for her 70th birthday.

As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a locals pub. As guests though, we were made to feel welcome by both the regular customers and staff alike. However, there wasn’t any other guests in the pub at all. We didn’t eat here as the restaurant appeared empty. All in all, a nice pub.
