We went to the Horse and Groom as part of a group of seven a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday evening. This is the third time we have visited, the meals are reasonably priced and there is a good selection of traditional Spanish food. The service was attentive and efficient. There proprietor was very helpful when one of our party fainted, thank you.

Went for a drink, decided to eat there instead of going home to eat. What a good decision! The offer is authentic Spanish - so we had a paella, freshly cooked to order. Whilst it was cooking we had half an hour to enjoy a shared plate of Serrano ham. Thin, salty and delicious. The paella was the best I had since I was in Spain. Tapas plates are available and looked generous and delicious. The wine-list was short but very well chosen, with mainly Spanish wines. The service was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient, as well as friendly. The atmosphere was relaxed and calming. We would highly recommend this friendly pub restaurant - the beer is good as well!

Sensational, really authentic Spanish food - and we had a Catalonian in the party with us, really nice food! I would strongly recommend the Calamari; very light and crispy. For desert, the pistachio and white chocolate cheesecake was a real delight.

They offer a varied selection of Spanish tapas as starters and main courses such as paellas, croquettes, and other typical Spanish dishes. Recommended for family celebrations or gatherings with friends.

This is a lovely pub and although more geared towards dining than drinkers there is a small bar area and some sofas dotted about if you aren’t eating. The large log fires are great in the winter and makes it a cosy retreat. The actual bar is quite small, split by one of the old wooden pillars but the staff are all friendly and really fast with the service. Prices are’t the cheapest but the range is nice of drinks is nice. There’s lots of different areas around the pub to give different vibes and the atmosphere is certainly friendly. It’s a great pub and I can’t wait to return and sample the extensive food menu, which is clearly very popular!

Nice pub in a great position. Went for a wake so only had a buffet meal. Green King IPA which wasn't brilliant, but when is it ever? I can see why it's popular and the staff are friendly and helpful

Lovely meal. Recommend the paella. Beautiful old pub. Nice atmosphere. Ample car parking service was very good As we arrived early for our booked table our starters we re slow to appear due to the kitchen being extremely busy. However i take this as a recommendation because so many people were there. I will definitely return.

Agatha and David's Spanish Tapas is excellent and never disappoints. If you enjoy Spanish tapas and hearty rustic food then I highly recommend you try the Horse and Groom. There was 11 for dinner of us, 8 adults and 3 children. We all had a selection of starters from the tapas menu, as usual this did not disappointed. The steamed mussels in white wine and Spanish green sauce were perfectly cooked and particularly moreish, having some hearty rustic bread to dip into the sauce just made it all the more authentic. If your a fan of seafood then this is a must. Agatha and her her staff were very attentive and accomadating ensuring we all had a pleasant experience. Each main course was excellent and could not be faulted in any way. I shared a seafood paella with my sister which was excellent, full of mussels, clams, squid and prawns. The paella rice was flavoursome, creamy and still had a slight bite to it, it also had a thin layer of toasted, slightly caramelized rice on the bottom of the pan called the socarrat which added to the flavour. 10 out of 10 to you Agatha, and your staff another excellent meal. I feel its quite rare to go out for dinner In such a large group and for every element of our meal experience not to be faulted. Can't wait to return.
