We've passed The Compasses enough times but thought we'd give it a try this time. We found the austere exterior rather off-putting but that shouldn't put you off as we encountered a friendly welcome from the staff and customers alike. A good selection of drinks and, for those that play, a pool table. We'll be sure to return.

A Dog friendly local pub. Don't think it does food other than bar snacks.

My daughter just needed the toilet and unlike some pubs, the staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Next time we visit we will make a point of actually having a drink as the atmosphere was lovely.
