   We absolutely love this takeaway. Excellent portion size. So helpful when you can up and the owner is very knowledgable about gluten free options for me. I often recommend this place to friends and family.

   Really friendly staff, clean and welcoming waiting area. That's where the positives stop I'm afraid. The sauces were over thick and had a bad mouth feel. Rice a basic for any Asian food, was just meh... Wasn't bad wasn't good. Noodles again just didn't really taste of anything, so wasn't bad or good. The curry sauce although tasted nice, as stated was just too thick and a bit like jelly. Sweet and sour was horrible, enough said about that. We asked if they did Crispy Chilli Chicken, was told yes, so ordered a portion, asked if we wanted sauce or dry, we said sauce. We got salt and pepper dry chicken.... So .... Yeah.... What we got was so dry and chewy.... A little icing on the top, the meat pancake rolls and prawn crackers were beautiful. Overall not impressed

   We were blown away with the quality of food and portion sizes when we first discovered Magic Chef a few years ago. However, the last couple of times we have had a take away from here we have been very disappointed. The portion sizes are generous; the food is well priced; the meat is generous but the overall dishes are bland and lack flavour. As this is our second disappointing experience, we won't be back.

   Food taste absolutely banging. All dishes are made fresh and with love and passion from two lovely auntie and uncle. Especially recommend their curry dishes, ribs, chow mein, mix vegetables and all. They treat everyone like feeding their own children. Being very honest at their business and giving genuine amount of portions thus beloved by everyone. People often come in order for the whole family.

   I drive 12 miles to try this chinese takeaway to see if it's good. And it turns out to be amazing in everything. The lady which is the owner is very friendly and generous. The price for the food is very reasonable and the portion is huge. And the ingredients of food taste so fresh and the taste of the dishes is very delicious and very authentic chinese food. Also the shop is very clean, big and has beautiful oriental decoration. I would definitely come back to have another tries. Its such a nice family-rum business.

   The best takeaway I have had. As I live in Northampton I wait till I go to Rushden Lakes and collect on the way home. They have the best pancake / spring rolls. Keep up the good standard.

   My family and i have recently moved from a city full of takeaway options, moving here we wondered how the local takeaway would compare, well we are all in agreement that this place is by far the best we've ever had. Absolutely amazing food, Great portions (1/3 more than our old takeaway) and a really really warm reception when ever i phone and collect. SUPERB!!!
