A lovely pub with ample car parking situated on the Bedford to Northampton Road. We visited for lunch today and had 3 courses each and a couple of drinks. Service was really good, 2 gentlemen were running about doing everything but we're good at it! My mixed grill was really good, chicken was tough but everything else was top notch. My kebab starter had a bit of a kick to it but just right... And their recommended sticky toffee pudding with ice cream was spot on. Decent sized portions and well worth the £75 paid. We are returning again soon. Visited 10th December 2025.

My husband and I stumbled across this pub this evening after I suffered a puncture a mile down the road. A very pleasant atmosphere and very well kept. Icing on the cake was when two hours later, having managed to limp my car up the road to the pub car park, one of the chefs came over and offered help, gave me a laugh and even ever so kindly offered to take me home because the breakdown was still 4 hours away having already waited 4 hours! Overall, based on this experience alone, we’ll definitely come back!

A fantastic, cosy pub. On the pricey side but it's well worth it as the food is simply delicious. Highly recommend.

UPDATE July 2025: Normally a good go-to place that we go to every now and again as we know we're going to get fairly good service and that kind of thing.. However tonight service was not really up to scratch ordered by the app.. food seem to take a while. Drinks ordered at the same time actually paid after food and after we chased. And food order was wrong but never checked food quality. We ordered medium rare steak and it was well done. .... Really good food and a lovely place. We had the roast pork and the mushroom pie. Staff are always super friendly, helpful and quick. A good selection of beers, Greenking standard but also others. Venue is lovely, with a good bar area you can eat in (with open fire), and separate restaurant area for larger groups and a more formal setting.

We had a lovley late afternoon meal , I had the cheese and bacon burger and a children's fish and chips and a side of onion rings .all came quickly as was delicious. The service was great and attentive but not overbearing . We had the mini desert board for desert it was really gorgeous. Overall, I would recommend a visit here .we spent £30 on drinks and £30 on food, which we thought was good value for money .we will be back x

Serves food all day. It was okay which was a Saturday. My second visit was for Sunday lunch. It was awesome, juicy veggies that were tasty and sweet. Lovely beef and crispy roast potatoes. Couldn't fault it. Great atmosphere, very different from Saturday. All staff very friendly and helpful, knowledgeable, couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended.

Popped in for a couple of pints after work and was very impressed. Lovely outdoor seating areas with a beautiful interior, food menus looked brilliant with a great selection catering for all. Decent lagers and ales on offer and very friendly staff

Requested a table in a quiet area of the pub for dinner with our autistic son. The staff went above expectations and reserved a couple of tables as options to which they were both very quiet. The food was ace and they were able to accommodate a few changes to a meal. Thank you to all the staff!

Nice pub. Nice food. Dog friendly. The pub backs onto a park so it’s handy for walking the dog after your visit. Gets the buddy seal of approval. Another Rovers return. Dog treats & bowls available. Big car park. Log burner.

Lovely experience at this pub. Went for food and the dishes we chose were great (bakewell tart and chicken basket pictured), the staff were friendly, and the pub was nice and cosy too! It was a great place to dine and will definitely be back again soonq
