   Went in to order fish and chips and got turned away cause they had a big order on. So obviously they should of put the closed sign up and not let anyone in but no they would rather turn away paying customers what a load of rubbish uses to be the best chippy in rushden now I think it's the worse

   One star is generous Staff member extremely rude, waited 30 minutes just for a piece of fish. Georgia the server told me that’s how my Mum wants it so don’t bother coming again. Food quality was very poor, staff in filthy uniforms. Vile Place was a complete shambles, shame as previous interaction with owner was excellent.

   Great local chippy, serving an extra portion of care! Stopped here on Friday evening, as we had visitors from abroad who wanted the fish and chip experience and we needed a gluten free option. Deb’s fish bar did not disappoint! Gluten free cod and haddock tasted almost exactly the same as the regular gluten ones. When ordering and needing a little extra advice and help service went above and beyond, even though it was during the Friday evening rush. Also saved us money as we would have massively over ordered. Portions were enormous. Personally, I preferred the cod over the haddock as the haddock still had the skin on, but that is 100% personal preference.

   Absolute chaos if you visit in person. There’s no streamlined system, and no matter where you stand you’re in the way. People arriving to order have to stand where people are being served, and it just feels disjointed. They seem to give priority to deliveries, and the organisation of this takes place front of house, which takes up lots of space as they are obsessively stapling each bag shut. There also seems to be lots of people behind the counter not knowing what each person is doing. The staff are very friendly, but if only they put as much effort into the actual service procedure, it would be a much calmer and speedier experience. It felt tense and stressful in there. The food was ok. The chips were good, but the fish batter was overly greasy, as was the floor I was stood on.

   I cannot give this place enough stars! I was very impressed with the quality of the food. The fish was fluffy and tender with such gorgeous batter. I don't know how the team at Debs fish bar do it, but please keep it up! Even the friendliest of each and every staff member, despite being so busy they were all so happy to chat to us and make us feel so welcomed when waiting for our food. You can tell they all look out for each other, and shows a nice working environment. We will definitely be back for more delicious food! Thank you all at Debs fish bar for such a great service all round, it is greatly appreciated by us!!
