   Pleasantly surprised by the room, clean, comfortable bed, with big windows geeat for sky watching. Complementary slippers, dressing gown, where amongst some of the things that make this stay 5 star. Shower was also great. Dining area was pleasant, comfortable, warm with a log burner. Tables were kept clean and staff were welcoming. Breakfast was well worth getting up for, the chef I found rude on a brief encounter, although maybe stressed by customers with food intollerances, despite this he was good at his job All in all a nice stay

   Top notch food, drinks and service here. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We turned up without a booking and were able to sit in the restaurant, the manager was welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The food was excellent, big portions and very tasty, especially the brisket. Desserts were of a good size and yummy. Will definitely be coming back!!

   I absolutely love this pub! It is a little out of the way for me, but well worth the drive. The setting of the pub when sat outside the front on a summers day is absolutely perfect!

   Beautiful pub, very simply done well. Traditional and just as it should be. Service and beer both excellent and a great steak and kidney pie. It’d be even better if the kids menu could be just as good - but it’s not bad. Great place.

   We are so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes drive away from home. Food is stunning, staff friendly, the Sunday Roast is lush and the Nutella doughnuts are delicious!!! Love this place and will continue to visit.

   Super friendly staff at Cowper’s Oak. We booked for a Saturday lunchtime and upon arrival were greeted by some friendly faces which’s straightaway made it a lovely experience. They were very accommodating for our young family with a high chair and a good choice of kids meals. We love proper pub food. You know the sort.. pie of the day and chips or a burger and chips. It was good to know that they sourced some of their ingredients locally. The pub had a cosy feel to it, old and warm with the the open fire being a welcome delight. There’s not many local independent pubs in the area so this was a great find. We’ll be back soon.

   You must take the time to visit this steeped in history, friendly, amazing pub! We visited on a Sunday, with our two dogs. The staff are very accommodating, I was able to order something that wasn’t on the menu. Wasn’t a problem at all. Really like the fact that, it isn’t just roast dinners on the menu. Typically most places only do a roast on a Sunday. But, not everyone wants a roast dinner. The choices were amazing. And! These guys do not rip you off. The prices are very reasonable. The dogs are welcome in all of the pub. I couldn’t fault this place at all. We will definitely return. Weston Underwood is a stunning village in Buckinghamshire. Look up William Cowper on wiki, if you visit. This is what makes it even more special. Thank you to the staff member who accommodated my fussiness. He really did go the extra mile. One of the best dog friendly pubs I’ve visited. —&—Trust me. I’ve visited a lot. Lol. Roo xx
