Large portions and really tasty and fresh. Not bad pricing, staff were helpful but off their feet busy. Nice piano music. Could do with an update decoration wise, damp in lots of corners.
A Five-Star Family Meal: Delicious Food and Outstanding Service! We visited New Garden this evening, and it absolutely lived up to the excellent online reviews we'd seen. The experience started with the lovely atmosphere; the restaurant is deceptively spacious inside and beautifully presented. Despite being busy, the service was quick, and the food arrived promptly and piping hot. More importantly, the cuisine was exceptionally tasty—every dish we tried was fresh and perfectly cooked. What truly elevated our evening was the staff. They were genuinely friendly and accommodating, handling requests with a smile and making us feel completely welcome. This spot is a definite win for a great night out. Highly recommended for anyone craving delicious Chinese food and fantastic hospitality!
Extremely busy place. Food was nice. Service was OK.. Waiters rushed off their feet. Definitely not the place for a romantic meal. A first date, or any type of wedding anniversary. Good for a get together with friends... There was a lot of food to go around. Will I be going again??? Not in a rush to go to be truthful. Just not really my type of place.
We had a lovely time here, food was great, the waiter looking after us was absolutely amazing. Very funny guy, made the experience a lot better. The food all arrived OK besides my dish, my starter came long after everyone else had finished theirs which was a bit unfortunate. Besides that, really good experience, would recommend
Absolutely delicious food. I recommend the Cantonese sizzling steak, duck in plum sauce and the smoked garlic chicken. We always book an early table and we find the food comes out then at a good pace. We had a young toddler with us this time, they offered us a highchair straight away. Great service.
Great food and service was good abit dated but over all good
The food at New Garden was lovely, my wife and I have different tastes but we found a happy compromise by ordering a couple of different things from the menu. The service was very good at the beginning and the food came very quick. Waiting for the bill took a fair bit of time but that's because the place got very busy and I don't think it was expected that evening.
I think there may have been a mix up as it took a long time to get served and have our food. The staff were friendly and the food was lovely though.
