“Opening night for Gin and Sake was fabulous. We've ordered takeaway prior to the restaurant being completed, and always enjoyed the food, but the atmosphere and presentation cannot be replicated at home. Our server was Noah, who was attentive, polite and set a wonderful impression for what to expect. The food was fresh, lovingly put together and absolutely gorgeous. The drinks were new and exciting, and presented well. We cannot wait to visit again! Forget Wagamamas, Gin&Sake is a at true taste of Japan in Bridgend.”

“My daughter had her day after wedding here. The food upstairs was displayed beautifully and tasted as good as it looked. A special area for people with allergy requirements but I think my daughter asked for that. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Dick Dazdardly did the music and was AMAZING play 2 sax and 2 guitars, not at the same time! He let people sing with him that COULD sing. Highly recommend it.”

“Visted tonight and was apprehensive after reading previous negative reviews. Glad we went the food was absolutely outstanding. Honestly the best meal we've had and the nicest place we've eaten around bridgend. Food was cooked perfectly and delicious. I recommend the Sangria, again the nicest Sangria we've had! The atmosphere was great and very cosy. The staff are fantastic, especially the blonde lady who was working tonight at the front desk (im really sorry I didn't get her name). She was extremely kind and complimented me on my dress and made my evening. So good to still see kind people around. An absolute credit to your team! Will definitely be visiting again”

“Popped in for some food on Wednesday by the off chance and it was the best decision we’ve made! All the staff were very friendly and our server and the lady behind the bar were beyond friendly and chatting and very welcoming to us and our little boy. The restaurant was very quiet when we arrived and the staff were very accommodating to our very noisy unsettled little boy. The food was incredible! I highly recommend the buttermilk chicken burger it was beautiful and very filling, my partner really enjoyed his koftas and the kids portions are a very reasonable size. We can’t wait to visit again!”

“The sandwich co took a last minute order for my daughters birthday party and nothing was too much for them. Sandwiches were incredible kids loved them and the adults. Might have picked up some brownies while collecting the platters and they were also 10/10. Highly recommended”

“Lovely place to stay. Very friendly and great rooms. Thought of everything you might need for a great stay. Iron and ironing board outside rooms, water dispenser and extra tea,coffee etc outside the rooms. Even spare toilet roll outside the rooms. My room had a fridge and microwave and even a leather sofa to lounge on. Plenty of space to relax outside with a drink. Lovely breakfast in the dining room which is beautifully set out with tablecloths and all matching crockery. Have stayed her a few times. Can very highly recommend.”

“Went for the first time last weekend as we've started visiting 'new' spots. Thay that serve breakfast and are dog friendly. After a friend had recommended it. Didn't look promising from outside, but we were wrong very much so. After a 6 x full breakfasts with various personal preferences. Extra sausages ordered for the dogs everyone left full and satisfied. Will definitely be back.”

“Amazing find as we visited area for a birthday party. Small intimate venue, with plenty of parking and great staff. Real fireplace makes it more cosy. Good choice of starters, mains and dessert. For starters, I opted for firecracker scampi, which was crispy with plenty of fiery sauce. For main I went for beef which had a lovely rich flavour and dessert was a lovely warm gooey brownie. Highly recommend if you are in this area”

“We decided to have a spur of the moment breakfast and we found Bauhaus! This was our first visit and it won't be the last. Lovely atmosphere with an obvious Jamaican vibe. Devon and staff were so friendly and welcoming. We ordered a full English cooked breakfast and scrambled egg on toast and this was the first time I had been asked how I liked my eggs scrambled, which was a nice surprise. The food was superb and we both cleared our plates - unusual for me so it must have been good! Highly recommended.”

“Beautiful mix grill starter the curries was flavourful and full of meat. One of the best curries i have tried and all staff are happy to help in anyway maybe not very chatty but service was not lacking and the food was bang on too.”

“Lovely place, very scenic and was a great place for my family to stay after a birthday celebration. We received a complimentary room upgrade and it was stunning. Spotless, spacious and had everything we needed. Me and my partner will definitely be returning next time we are in the area. The staff were lovely and helpful too , thank you all!”

“I have been interested in cooling at this place for many years. Whenever I have driven past the car park was always full and when I stopped to talk to somebody they said the food is excellent so I knew it was a place I had to try. The prawn cocktail was very nice and the roll that came with it was so so cute. The Sunday dinner itself was really tasty. They was plenty of veg and lots of meat. The vegetarian mushroom Wellington was really tasty and although looked small was so so filling. I will definitely be going back it was delicious.”

“The food was amazing! The Carbonara was to die for! The garlic bread was the best I've ever had! My partner said his Lasagne was incredible! They are not shy at all with the parmigiano reggiano so it made my day . The icing on the cake was the wonderful staff service! So attentive, and I was even offered a blanket when we went to sit outside after food! Would highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back again!”

“We booked last minute on a whim and so glad we did. The service was fantastic despite their being a large private party going on at the same time. We were served very quickly, and the food was amazing. I'm a coeliac, and there was plenty of choice on the mezze menu, less on the main menu, but I still struggled to choose. The portions are huge but so delicious I ate myself to bursting point! We will definitely be back.”

“Stayed here for just £65 and was genuinely impressed by the value for money. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent – tasty, well-prepared, and generous portions. The staff were friendly and welcoming across the board, from check-in to the restaurant. The shower had perfect pressure (a rare find!) and the hotel is ideally located with easy access to some stunning beaches. Would absolutely stay again – a great find!”
