“Lovely fried breakfast. Went for the large with an extra egg. Decent value for money. One of the best fry ups in Bridgend (along with Dragon Cafe) They also have a great Thai menu which is fantastic, all of the dishes highly recommended The whole market is air conditioned so great in the summer. Sometimes they close early so opening hours might not be correct.”

    Durston's Coffee

    ★★★★★ 4.9

“Lovely coffee and home made cornbeef pie and cheese pie. Very welcoming café with such friendly staff. I have been going to Durstons coffee shop at least twice a week for a month or so now, and every time, I am greeted with a warm smile and converse. The owner Becky, is such a wonderful person. She's thoughtful, considerate and genuinely cares about her customers. Becky takes pride in her business and cooks all the food from scratch. This place deserves more praise. There's take away food/drinks, it is a child friendly atmosphere and even has baby changing facilities. They take cash and card with ample parking to the front. Would definitely recommend.”

“Went for the first time last weekend as we've started visiting 'new' spots. Thay that serve breakfast and are dog friendly. After a friend had recommended it. Didn't look promising from outside, but we were wrong very much so. After a 6 x full breakfasts with various personal preferences. Extra sausages ordered for the dogs everyone left full and satisfied. Will definitely be back.”

    Bauhaus Coffee Shop

    ★★★★☆ 4.7
    Closed

“We decided to have a spur of the moment breakfast and we found Bauhaus! This was our first visit and it won't be the last. Lovely atmosphere with an obvious Jamaican vibe. Devon and staff were so friendly and welcoming. We ordered a full English cooked breakfast and scrambled egg on toast and this was the first time I had been asked how I liked my eggs scrambled, which was a nice surprise. The food was superb and we both cleared our plates - unusual for me so it must have been good! Highly recommended.”

Also sells kitchenware, ornaments, Welsh gifts, pictures, rugs, a large choice of Yankee candle goods, garden furniture etc. It has a fantastic cafe with wonderful, friendly staff ( including a French chef) and a good menu consisting of freshly made snacks and meals. The desserts and pies are huge and extremely tempting!!”

    Hilary and Iain's Kitchen

    ★★★★☆ 4.4

“Stopped in for lunch as we were walking along the beach. Bit of a trek from the actual beach itself but well worth it! The cheese & ham melt comes with a choice of white or brown bread, it also comes with salad and chips! The sandwich was HUGE and the ham/cheese was really packed in, overall it was delicious. We sat inside, there were tables outside but it was a bit hot - you can sit a table of 6, 2 x tables of 4 and a table of 2. So if it’s busy I’d imagine it can be tough to get a seat. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for some lunch down this way though!”

“The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and always happy to recommend something if you’re unsure what to get. The food is delicious and hands down the best I’ve had in a coffee shop in this area. The space is beautifully designed. Clean and inviting and great for working, catching up with a friend or just relaxing solo. If you’re looking for quality coffee and a homely vibe, Coast Coffee is a must visit. Easily my new favourite spot.”
