Just had Turkey dinner and xmas pud.Had to sit in the sportsbar side because we had taken the dog.Everything came out piping hot and tasty.Well worth the price,and the young staff were very friendly.
This place has had more owners than I've had Sunday dinners but it's a decent place. Welcoming, good live bands, good is decent (atm).
After a long day travelling, we decided to pop into the West for a bite to eat, we drink there on a regular basis and eat now and again. The food as always was great. Value for money is outstanding and the staff and service for a welcoming local pub is 2nd to none.Im not sure who the young lady who was who took our order but she was very nice and polite and as usual Jack who was also on the bar was class. My daughter had her day after wedding here. The food upstairs was displayed beautifully and tasted as good as it looked. A special area for people with allergy requirements but I think my daughter asked for that. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Dick Dazdardly did the music and was AMAZING play 2 sax and 2 guitars, not at the same time! He let people sing with him that COULD sing. Highly recommend it.
The place itself is brilliant inside and out when the food arrived it looked really good, unfortunately everything but the roast potatoes were cold,it spoiled what should have been a lovely meal, I did mention it so hopefully they will take this on board and it won't happen again

We booked for Sunday lunch, it was a really nice meal we had beef it was beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful we will be going again
Food was good, but we waited over two hours for lunch and dessert on a Sunday. Had to ask a few times, we're told it wouldn't be long, then turned out after a while of waiting they didn't have one of the main ingredients of the meal. Got cash refund. Wasn't happy by the end of it. Would probably go again, but not pin my hopes on getting service less than two hours.
Well organised and staff very attentive to your needs very friendly and welcoming. Had the mixed grill which didn't disappoint large portions and meat cooked to perfection. Many of the desserts home made and a very cold pint of strongbow to wash it down with. Would definitely recommend.
