   Great pub to stop over in a motorhome, a few minutes off the M1. We booked ahead, though no problem finding space early Saturday night. Nice welcome from the owners. Pretty level parking with a great view. Great pub with a good beer selection and fabulous food, not chain-pub-like food but really good quality food from a decent chef. Great main courses and the largest cheese platter I have ever had (great cheeses too). Best overnight pub stop we have had to date. Highly recommended.

   Had a lovely meal on Saturday night for my husband's birthday. Michelle and Matt gave us a warm welcome and had evening rearranged the tables to accommodate the 8 of us in the main dining room. The service from all of the team was excellent and the food equally delicious. A bonus treat at the end of the meal was when my husband was surprised with a beautiful rendition of Happy Birthday by the staff, accompanied by a slice of brownie with an all important candle in for him to blow out! Extra spoons were even provided in the hope he might want to share this treat with the rest of us! A fabulous evening and great way to round off his birthday celebrations. We can't wait to come back in a few weeks time for a family Christmas meal. Thanks Michelle and Matt I'd highly recommend whatever the occasion!

   Came here for Sunday lunch a few weeks ago the staff were really friendly and helpful and service was brilliant and the pub itself is beautiful and plenty of seating inside and toilets kept clean I had the roast beef whilst here the veg and roast potatoes were nice and then had the cookie dough pudding with ice cream for dessert which was the best I recommend the food here.

   We've visited the Rose & Crown several times, and it's become our go-to for family meals! We've tried lots of food off the menu, and I don't think there is anything I've not enjoyed. On our latest visit we were a booking of 8 people, including a pram and a hypo 5 year old, and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. They were so patient, kind and welcoming - even with a screaming newborn! It's so nice to have an incredible pub in our village. It's well worth a visit if you're looking for a family friendly pub in Northamptonshire, especially worth trying the themed nights!

   We went to the Rose and Crown at Hartwell this past Friday... we've been meaning to visit here for a while. So glad we did and sorry we have not been sooner! The food, service and atmosphere was brilliant. They have a great team who are really friendly, helpful and customer focused. The menu was varied and caters for all tastes. I chose the brie and mushroom crostini as a starter - it was superb! The mains were great - I opted for fish and chips and it didn't disappoint. My wife had one of the specials... the honey chilli salmon and rice with pak choi. Again, delicious! We finished off with the amazing cheese platter - it had us beat! A really generous sharer with enough for a to-go box! All round, really excellent value for a delicious meal out. This little gem is just 2 miles from Hanslope. Give it a go and support our local businesses 100% recommended!

   Spent the weekend in Northampton and on our way home on the Sunday wanted to stop off for a Sunday roast. We stumbled across this place on Google and decided to stop. The food was amazing which catered for allergies and particularly gluten free. The service was outstanding too. Thoroughly recommend x

   Really lovely pub /restaurant. Very cheery, helpful staff making you feel right at home. We had the Sunday roast, which was delicious. We also indulged in desserts which were beautifully presented and so yummy. The R&C is under new management and has had a complete makeover, new decor is very stylish. Do yourself a favourand try out this lovely place, you will get a warm welcome.

   Our first visit since the pub reopened. Sunday Roast Beef was just Heavenly. I'm low carb so always need to ask for adjustments and instead of roasties and Yorkshire I had extra veg, buttered cabbage, broccoli, carrot and turnip, which were delicious. I'd not had a turnip for years! I added pigs in blankets and had extra gravy too, they couldn't have been more accommodating. Daisy was brought a water bowl too and the Eton Mess dessert we shared lasted about 1 minute.
