   Rubbish food Sauce was like jelly and flavourless. Spent £50 and was the worst Chinese I’ve had local. Only give me half my money back when I complained. Stale dry reheated chicken. Ribs where days old tasted foul. Avoid !!!

   I ordered from Hong Kong Chef Chinese Takeaway in Roade, hoping for a satisfying meal, but it was an utterly disappointing experience. The food was borderline inedible, with no redeeming qualities. The dishes completely lacked flavor, as if the seasonings were forgotten entirely. The rice was stale, clumpy, and tasted like it had been sitting out for days. Worst of all, the curry had an off-putting, unpleasant taste that made it impossible to eat more than a bite. Like another reviewer mentioned, I ended up throwing most of it in the bin after a single mouthful. This was, without a doubt, the worst Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had, and I won’t be returning. Save your money and avoid this place.

   Stopped using this place years ago. Tried a couple times, second time we were grabbing some stuff for guests who popped over. Everyone commented how bad it was and chips tasted old. I wouldn’t have left a review except they annoyed my by acting like they didn’t take card then magically had a card machine appear, then charged me for using a card. Haven’t seen the delivery driver in ages but he used to race his Yaris around without a care for any one else. I told my partner not to go to this place before when she moved in to mine. She thought I was over exaggerating, ordered some and chucked it in the bin. Tried the same card trick with her as well.

   We have ordered food a few times now, the service is punctual and the staff are very friendly on the phone and when delivering. The food tasted very good, the size of the meals are very generous, we were quite impressed. Will be enjoying a few take aways from here over the next few years, yum! Thank you to the staff and chefs, exception standards.

   Chips had clearly been cooked before then reheated, worst take away chips I have ever tasted, very lean menu and no other freshly cooked items on display to choose from. Chow mien was ‘ok’ but somewhat tasteless.

   Food quality is underwhelming. Had a chilli squid and its just over coated in flour and tasteles covered in loads of raw thick cut onion. Chicken fried rice is plain and lacks flavour and the Malaysian beef was over flavoured with either oyster or squid sauce which was over powering and made the dish taste of fish. Last time we order from there .

   WARNING! THIS TAKE AWAY ONLY HAS A FOOD HYGIENE RATING OF 1. CHECK ON LINE.The owner must be a millionaire because they obviously don't need the money.No business sense what so ever.Its quite simple fresh good food =lots of customers and money.Disgusting food= no customers less money.Because of location they would be in high demand but they can't even produce nice chips.The chips are the worst I have ever had dirty oil(tasted like animal fat to me).They haven't learnt a thing in years.Twice in two years is enough for me never again. I have to drive 6 miles for decent chips now but still worth it.

   lovely staff and orders are always made quickly. food is delicious in our opinion...I could live of their chicken balls! The chip shops a bit of a let down though, I think the prices are too high and £1 to pay via card is a rip off..especially when the food looks like it's been there for a good while and the chips aren't always that nice but the Chinese I can't fault it!
