Had dinner from the set Christmas menu tonight. It was absolutely delicious, tasty, huge portions and cooked to perfection. We also had different food allergies and intolerances in our group and these were delt with brilliantly. Could not recommend it more highly!
Great , cosy pub in a beautiful corner with parking space. Service is fast, courteous, with a smile. Food looks and tastes homie, no surprises, just good ingredients and warm feelings
I had an absolutely delightful experience at The Royal Oak in Walgrave. The food was exceptional — the burger was juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor, while the pie was simply divine with a golden, flaky crust and rich, hearty filling. The atmosphere was incredibly homely, with the warm glow of the fireplace adding a cozy touch to the pub's charm. The staff were not only friendly and welcoming but also incredibly kind to our dog, Merlin, making him feel just as at home. A fantastic spot for a relaxing meal in the countryside! Highly recommended.
Absolutely amazing experience, staff are super hot on allergies and I felt totally safe. Highly recommend if you like me, have dietary restrictions I really recommend it. The food is absolutely delicious, the staff are lovely and the atmosphere is beautiful. We did a 2 1/2 hour drive to meet a friend and we all felt we would happily come again as everything was so good it was completely worth it .
An absolute gem! We drove past this ‘pub’ several times during our holiday & decided to have dinner here on our last night in the UK. A local gathering spot with an incredible menu selection perfect for a special dinner. Truly our favourite meal of the entire trip. The waitress was helpful & recommended some favourites. Beet risotto with bass, sausage & mashed along with fresh peas & leaks/onions. All delish. Appetizers & desserts were equally as impressive. A must stop. A great selection of ciders, beers & wine.

Absolutely fantastic Sunday roast, beautifully cooked trio of meats, perfect vegetables and fluffy roasties. Excellent service from Mark. Good beer on tap. A really enjoyable visit. Didn't try the puds as too full, but I bet they've amazing too. Don't hesitate, book now!

Had a fabulous Sunday Roast here. Could've eaten it twice over. Delicious food (loved the puddings!) and superb attentive staff. Brilliant. Can't wait to go back.
