   Had the chicken supreme and mocha mousse which were both very good... rich and indulgent flavours. Service was good, not intrusive or pushy, really enjoyed having a get together with friends at this location. Indoors was nice and cosy withoit being crampt. The outdoor area is nice and backs onto a public park, so great for families too.

   We stopped in for a meal and were pleasantly surprised! We shared a pizza and baked camembert, both really tasty and great for sharing. The pizza had a nice crust and good flavour — My girlfriend had the fish and chips, which came out hot, crispy, and well-portioned. Everything was cooked well and presented nicely. The atmosphere was relaxed, and service was friendly but not intrusive. Overall a great little spot for a casual bite with good food and a cozy vibe. Would definitely come back!

   Highly recommend!! Just wish we lived closer so we could come more often. We had a table of 7 with 4 different dishes and they were all fabulous. All the food came out together and was piping hot. The service was great! Very friendly and attentive ☺️

   1st time here for a meal with the ladies . Wow amazing food . Bit of a wait but it was all cooked fresh and you could tell the pork belly was amazing !! I had the lemon sponge for desert but ate it too quick to get a pic . Deffo a place I would return to!

   Had a lovely evening with family, lovely food, lovely Christmas atmosphere and welcoming staff. The fire was blazing and the pub busy which added to the feel of the Barley Mow. Would definitely recommend a visit.

   Cannot recommend this pub enough. Tiny, but mighty. I had three courses, my wife and son had two. We all left satisfied. Every mouthful was mouth wateringly good. Since our visit my wife cannot stop thinking about the soup and it's the soft spongey cake with custard I can't get out of my head. Definitely check it out.

   We live in the village and its the first time we've eaten here in a while (this evening). Waitress service was excellent. Unfortunately, the food was a massive let down. Ordered the pork belly roast and it was INEDIBLE! It was incredibly tough, chewy and flavourless. Kids had roast chicken and even they couldn't eat that as they said it was too dry [it was I tried it also]. The veg was ok, roast potatoes were OK but not crispy at all. Such a shame as I'd love to support our village pub but we won't return again. Did quietly mention the problem to the waitress who passed my comment onto the chef, whose response was "I've been serving it all day" and refused to admit there was anything wrong with it [even though you could see it was untouched). He really needs to work on his customer service skills and be less arrogant about his less than mediocre food !
