   Stylish shop, trendy clothes by European brands at high prices. It's a shame that the service doesn't match up the high standards. The shop attendant walks right behind you and puts everything back as soon as you let go of an item. Also does reply to an explisite 'Thank you' as you leave. I wanted to buy a bag but changed my mind as I felt not welcome and wouldn't spend my money there.

   Such a lovely shop with beautiful clothing and helpful friendly staff. There's so much care and attention to detail, from the seasonal window display, beautifully curated tables and rails, to the delicate wrapping at the till. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

   I love every visit to Cordelia James. Each item I purchase becomes a trusted investment that lasts in my wardrobe. I enjoy the team's help and support in choosing what suits my style and appreciate the way I am encouraged, on occasion, to try something different. Definitely not the most petite or small of their clientele, I love the quality of the fabrics and the shapes which suit my figure. I come away from the experience, with or without a purchase, having a better understanding of my individual style, to help me make even better selections of pieces to enhance my wardrobe. Good Service is rarer to find in stores nowadays and Cordelia James' team work hard to maintain their high standards of integrity and service, no matter what the budget.

   Appalling customer service an business practices. I ordered an item online as a gift, only to receive an email notifying me that it had gone out of stock (which it wasn't when I purchased). Having rung around their other stores to check if there was any stock elsewhere I understand that they list all of the items that they get in on the website, but also put them out on the shop floor, so if something sells via one of the shops the website does not update meaning there is no way of telling whether you will actually get what you order. When my partner rang to complain about this she was completely brushed off and told 'try again next year'. Deserves to go out of business.

   Quite upset by the rudeness of the shopkeeper (presumably the owner) who made a snippy comment to my 80 year old mother which was totally uncalled for, and far too haughty to be able to apologise. Please take some lessons in customer service and, while you're at it, business management - your customers are your business! We were very happy instead to go nextdoor and spend our money in Alexis Dove - who were very pleasant!

   An extremely unwelcoming and uninformative welcome to this shop where I have spent loads of money - by the owner no less! Not surprised to see another bad review. I can certainly spend my money somewhere else!!! Never going back there again!

   Please think twice before purchasing with this company! After being a customer for many years and spending a small fortune I had to bring back a faulty dress after the first wear. I knew that they would be difficult as years before I had a horrible experience with them when trying to return another item. I was sent away and told to come back by a member of staff who was completely disinterested in helping me and was unable to make a decision without the owner or the owner’s daughter being there? This meaning that I had to drive over half each way to try and get this resolved. I then phoned and emailed with my complaint about my dissatisfaction on how I been treated in the shop. I was made to feel that this was my own fault stating that I had brought back many items before which was completely untrue. The whole experience was distressing and undeserving. I contacted the manufacturer directly and they exchanged the faulty item straight away. Cordelia James are happy to take your money but should you have any after sales issue please beware. Also I would like to add the other 5 Star review on this site is from the owner’s daughter that runs the shop?
