   This was our first experience at Cromwell Cottage. We enjoyed everything about our time here. Our food was cooked perfectly for us - hot, fresh & the steaks to our preference. Staff were attentive, professional, friendly & nothing was too much trouble. Atmosphere was relaxed & happy. Myself & my husband were able to have a conversation without having to shout across the table to each other. We will definitely visit again in the future.

   I came in with my parents, one of my sisters and my girlfriend and her mum for my 18th birthday dinner. We had Jess as our waitress and she was so lovely and went above and beyond to create the best atmosphere and provide an amazing experience for this special day, the chefs even wrote happy birthday on the plate of my dessert! Thank you so much :)

   The food at The Cromwell Cottage was absolutely exceptional – full of flavour and beautifully presented. It’s a very popular spot, so it was busy when we visited, which adds to the lively atmosphere. The only downside is that parking can be tricky; we’ve been twice and struggled to find a spot. Still, it’s definitely worth the visit for a great meal in Northampton. It’s conveniently located close to the M1 motorway, making it an easy stop when heading south towards London. From there, you can connect to the M25 and other major routes into the city, so it’s perfect for a meal break on the way.

   Good friendly service. Atmosphere is good, light and airy with good space between each table. Food was good, we went for: Starters - pan fried king prawns, chicken liver parfait and octopus. Octopus was delicious. Parfait was great and the fig sauce really worked well, could have done with more breast/toast. Main - fillet steak and lamb shank. The lamb shank was delicious and the chips with the steak were lovely and crisp. Dessert - we opted for the mini desserts which was a prefect way to end the meal. Thank you.

   We had our Mother's day lunch here - a set menu of choices at a very reasonable price for the quality of the food. We've been here many a time before, and we keep coming back. The food and service here are so very good with great choices for kids too - would definitely recommend.

   I visited the pub in the evening of the 13/06/22. Myself, sister and parents thoroughly enjoy coming here as the food and drinks are of good pricing and great tastes. Our visit on Monday was great as Kelly, Alice, Jack and Jim recognised myself and sister who are regular visitors. Jim greeted us at the door and was very welcoming and lead is to our table. From then on it was a seamless night for my family and the service from Kelly was efficient as the starters, mains and my two cheeky puddings were faultless. Thank you to the chefs that night as I loved the lamb shank special, especially from a person who never really goes for the lamb option (picture below). Thank you Cromwell team for a fun and relaxing night for my family.
