It's a fantastic establishment with brilliant food, excellent service and a warm atmosphere. I would absolutely recommend the Chicken Curry! It's delicious and mouth-watering! Just thinking of the food makes me hungry. Once again, fantastic place! A treasure of a food spot.
Long standing customer of some 7 - 8 years. Always been extremely happy with food. However, tonight’s food was absolutely diabolical. Never normally complain, but felt the need due to our extreme disappointment with the food quality. Chips were cold, the special curry was thick texture, lacked meat and was full of onions. Pancake roll was mediocre and very greasy. Roast spring chicken looked like it had been microwaved, mushy peas were dry and not enough gravy. Very sad, would recommend you avoid.
This has been our regular take away for years and the food has always been outstanding. It has now been taken over, we decided to continue ordering from there. Unfortunately the food is just not the same. We always ordered the chicken & spring onion stir fry, this week it was awful , it just didn’t taste the same. We shall be going elsewhere unfortunately.
Recently taken over by new owner. I have been going there for over 14 years and suddenly the quality of food has diminished. I thought the first bad week may have been a one off while the new owner settled in but the second week was no better. I called immediately back after serving the food and the curry sauce was so thin compared to previous. After so many years I can tell when something has changed. Moreover the person handing my order did not handle my call very good with long pauses making me think there was no one listening. So,so sad as this was by far one of the best takeaway gems of Stoke-on-Trent.
Hop Sing has recently been sold and we just had our usual dish of the Special Chow Mein and egg-fried rice. It was awful, with no taste at all, not even the onions. How onions can taste of nothing is beyond me. There was very little meat and this was as tough as shoe leather. There were 3 prawns only and the noodles tasted weird. I hope they’re not off. Also, there was very little gravy/sauce. The rice was also dry and tasteless. I’m certain this food was cooked earlier as part of a larger batch and ours was popped in a microwave for a few seconds as it arrived really quickly and we hadn’t pre-ordered. This truly was the worst chinese takeaway I have ever had and my wife and daughter agreed and I have been going to Hop Sing and enjoying their food for over 30 years, but I’ll never go there again. To think we were planning to spend £250 on food from there, for a party in November. To be honest, when we informed them of this, they didn’t seem overly excited and didn’t seem interested in discussing our plan in detail. At least we haven’t wasted £250 and disappointed our friends, but what is certain is that they’ve lost £250 on that day and our custom forever.

The restaurant offers a full allergy menu. As someone who has celiac and loves Asian food this is very exciting.
Always great quality food. My recommendation is the special curry, chicken fried rice ,Singapore chow mein, and spring roll starters, but they don't do free prawn crackers. Great staff.
Just finished a king prawn Curry and rice , beautiful and we'll worth the cost. Liz has had beef something says it is very nice. One portion of rice is plenty enough for two. Well worth a try, plenty of parking off road
