These chips were fantastic, the staff were lovely and friendly. The chippy was very clean, tidy and not cluttered with complicated menus or choices. The prices were a great price for portion size, will visit again. Thanks from Steve, the runner, 15/11/25. (Ollie's Army)

Howl At The Moon ★☆☆☆☆
One Of The Worst Chip Shops Around. Uncooked chips, gelatinous gravy, over priced to the point there should be gold leaf somewhere, staff don't have a clue what change they are giving you. £9.80 for: small chips and gravy small chips 1 fish cake Avoid this chipper, infact go to the shell garage, the just cheese sandwich has more about it than walton fish rip off.

Me and my partner went in the other night and ordered 2 large fish which were put onto cook when we ordered them. We were given them very quickly and went home to eat obviously assuming they were cooked. They seemed a bit, as my partner put it, “slimy” when we opened it but thought nothing of it. We then noticed it was cold as we got to the middle and a rubbery texture. We stopped eating but at this point had eaten a third of it before noticing it was cold in the middle and were both extremely ill after throwing up and on the toilet. Really do not recommend the fish and hope it gets sorted for further customers so no one else gets ill as we have

Absolutely fantastic fish and chips! The fish was cooked to perfection – golden, light, and crispy on the outside with beautifully tender fish inside. The chips were just how they should be: crisp on the outside yet fluffy and soft in the middle. I also tried the curry sauce, which was full of flavour. Definitely one of the best fish and chip shops I’ve been to. It's cash only - the shop next door can give you up to £30 cashback if you spend £1 on card.

Absolutely disgusting fish and chips. We spent nearly £60 on large cod and chips and it wasn’t even a medium never mind large. Swimming in grease with that scummy grease taste has left us all feeling a little sick! Avoid this place and either use eccleshall or the priory fish and chip shop, at least you don’t get ripped off at these and the food is actually eatable

Huge fish portion with perfectly crisp batter, beautifully cooked and thick chips and although it may not be what they are known for, it was possibly the best mixed kebab I've ever had. Great quality all round.

Can be excellent 80% of time but when dissatisfied or disappointed then can be very disgruntled last 2 visits have had inferior dry flat tail end cod zero taste and still have to pay top end money for fish n chip supper. Also on last visit witnessed something very alarming and wonder just how often this happens here like know it happens in other eating establishments. Young lady in back room cleaning and scraping floor of dropped food etc. order came into shop for a cheeseburger with just lettuce and tomato. Lady in the back who had just been scraping floor retrieved said cheeseburger from chiller or freezer without washing her hands. Oooh gross Hope customer enjoyed his burger not sure if will visit again now having witnessed this.

Most impressed. They're taking Covid precautions seriously, so felt safe. Ordering was easy, menu is clearly displayed and service both friendly and fast. Most impressed when I got home and opened my package. It looked so good - hence the photo and it tasted as good as it looked. Beautifully fresh, crisp batter with proper chips and good portions too Thoroughly recommended
