Really nice owner, he made gluten free fish and chips which were lovely. Brilliant food and service.

Probably the worst food I've tasted in years! I was over charged and had to tell the owner he'd charged me too much, then he charged me a fee because I chose to pay on card DESPITE the cost being over £5! This seems to be the minimum card spend anywhere in the UK APART FROM THIS PLACE! When I got home I unwrapped the smallest portion of chips ever. They tasted awful. Dry, rubbery with an unpleasant after taste. The pie was microwaved and over heated which made the inside burnt and ridiculously hot, whilst the pastry was inedible. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS 'TRADITIONAL CHIPPY'.

Had small fish chips and peas very nice and presented well! One criticism . The free wooden forks were on the counter for customers to help themselves but there was a food delivery man picking orders up and he was playing with the forks. Not very hygienic!

Really friendly and respectful owner. The fish was battered and cooked fresh in front of me, and tasted good. The chips were not super tasty, but they were cooked well and were enjoyable with a generous sprinkling of salt! They are also open most nights, whereas many other chip shops are shut, which is a huge benefit. This sits on the expensive side (a large fish was £8, and regular chips were £2.90 if I remember correctly). I'd certainly reccomend this chippy.

What a chippy and what a guy! Strolled into this fine establishment with my fellow tanker driver and was greeted by a pleasant gentleman who couldn't do enough for us! 5 star service
