   First visit, food was awful, will not be returning. Chicken satay sauce was very runny and tasted vinegary without any nutty taste. Top Chef Chinese takeaway is much much better. Wish I'd gone back there tonight!

   Always good here for a takeaway. We've been rather a lot in the last 7 years or so of living in the area. We usually have the same thing, (Set meal for 2(B) ), always well cooked & nice & excellent value....& usually enough to have some for lunch next day lol! We have compared with others in the area, though for us, New China is the best of them. Xx

   I was getting petrol at the Jet garage opposite and smelt the Chinese food on my way back to the car before I actually saw it or thought of it. This was one of those unplanned gems, found purely because I went out for fuel. I went over and upon seeing their 4* food hygiene, entered and placed an order. While waiting I was reading the menu and New China points out all food is freshly cooked and I was not disappointed. A basic order of chicken chow mein, and salt and pepper chips that went down well. I would completely agree, it was fresh and the chow mein was tasty and not greasy. The chips were also clearly freshly prepared and not refried. Portion size was also generous. I high recommend and will be returning.

   So much more expensive then other Chinese takeaway, daylight robbery. And the food isn't even great, the meat is very rubbery.

   Absolutely disgusted with the service I received today. Been my regular Chinese take away ( every Tuesday night ) for at least 20 years but tonight was the last straw. Got my order wrong then told me it was my fault. Missing items despite repeating myself 2-3 times. The food (if you can class it as ) was old and clearly reheated and / or under cooked. I will not order from new china again.

   DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE , DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, I ordered over a £30 order today and my order came wrong , the sweet and sour sauce is like water. The chicken is like eating grey meat and tastes old, the food looks and tastes like it’s been sitting there for days, their ‘crispy chilli chicken’ was a tub of plain chicken in sweet and sour sauce?? After calling the shop up the man was very rude, didn’t give me a refund and wouldn’t sort it at all. Really unhappy and disappointed.

   I have been coming here for years and just recently they have gotten my order wrong. The 1st time I didn’t bother to phone and complain and just the left it. The second time I order a house special chow mien when i got it home it was a vegetable chow mien. When i phoned and explained that it was wrong and it was my partners dinner (who threw it in the bin in temper) the person on the other end told me i ordered the vegetable chow mien when non of us like that one. When I explained it was in the bin i got told i was wasting his food that i paid for. The customer service is terrible. If i did want another one i would have to travel another 20 minutes to get and mine would be cold. Instead of apology i got verbal abuse and was told i was in the wrong. As a customer who has been going there for years i won’t be going back for a very long time if at all
