My first visit to a Pieminister cafe. Not the best experience unfortunately. We waited a good 30min to recieve our order. The pie (Deer & beer) was really nice. Pastry was crunchy, filling beautifully concentrated taste and the gravy was lovely too. All the dishes were served on enamelled metal plates which are very efficient conductors. Hence the chef must have placed the mash centrally on the plate and allowed it to stand for too long before placing my pie on top. The mash was stone cold by the time it was served. In addition we had to endure a very large and smelly 'Dulux' dog sitting to the side of us. I gather dogs are now welcome in diners but not all of us like dogs. I am allergic and found the smell to be offensive. Dog owners please bath you dogs regularly and restaurants/cafes please make it clear to everyone that dogs are welcome or not so I can choose to avoid. Sorry but I won't be eating in a Pieminister again. Atmosphere. Staff really welcoming and friendly but background music too loud for me to engage in any conversation.

Stopped off here on a rainy day on my own. Very quick table service, I had the moo and blue- it was delicious, lovely thick gravy and creamy mash. Reasonable price and decent portions. Would definitely recommend! You can even take a pie home to cook at home!

Brilliant tucker. Bit expensive for what it is but it was delicious, well presented and served by friendly staff. Alcohol is also served on the premises. Well recommended will definitely be back very soon.

We recently tried a selection of pies and were overall very pleased with the experience. Each one had its own unique flavor profile, and it was fun to compare our favorites. Personally, I absolutely loved the Stilton pie—the rich, tangy cheese was perfectly balanced with the savory filling, making it the standout for me. My partner, on the other hand, really enjoyed the Chicken Tikka pie. It had a lovely depth of flavor, with just the right amount of spice and a creamy, comforting texture that made it really satisfying. The Steak pie, while hearty and well-seasoned, had a noticeably strong onion presence that, for my taste, slightly overpowered the rest of the filling. If you're a big fan of onions, it might be right up your alley, but it wasn’t quite to my liking. Overall, though, the quality of the pies was excellent, and we’d definitely try more from the range in the future.

Been here four times now and each visit I have to award 10/10 for food taste, yumminess and choice. I also have to award the same for the service you get. I am fussy about the food i eat out, and being a meat-free zone, i find i am limited by your typical menu, but here I have a few options to choose from. Thats why i keep going back and continue to do so. Even my 80 year old mother loves it when we go there ... Keep up the good work, guys! :-)

Was a little cool at first but the staff soon warmed it up. Had the Steak and Kidney. Delicious tender meat with all the trimmings. Will definitely return.

A great proper pie. We had the Motherships. Fungi Chicken and Moo. Tasty, creamy mast, minted mushy peas. Good price. Lovely service. Nice atmosphere. Nice very filling lunch on a colder spring day.
