There’s always a warm, friendly welcome from the team at Alessi. They will give guidance to get you the meal you want. Service is well-timed giving you just enough of a break between courses. The food is of an excellent quality and has never disappointed over the 5 or so years we have been coming here. We are lucky to have such a great restaurant on our doorstep.

Well well, this is a textbook definition of a hidden gem! Who'd have thought that a quality Indian restaurant exists in a quaint and nice village as Audley? I went for dinner with very low expectations, but I was in for a surprise. The starters we tried were Prawn Bhuna Puree, Shami Kebab (Lamb) & Chicken Malai Tikka - all 3 were cooked to perfection and the meat was succulent. Highly recommended going for the hot relish, as it's very unique and nice to taste. For main course we had Tandoori Chicken, which was served on a sizzling platter with sliced onions on the sizzling plate as well. The tandoori smell that permeated the restaurant in a lovely way was evident and present in taste in the tandoori chicken pieces; the curry accompaniment was also very good to taste, and very unlike the run off the mill curry sauce usually found at other Indian restaurants. The ambience was very relaxed, with lights just the right brightness, comfortable sitting arrangements, clean toilet. The servers were all warm and welcoming. Overall a very, very good experience and enjoyed a lovely meal at a nice restaurant without any added fuss or loudness after a long time. Totally recommend this to all, and will certainly be visiting more myself. This restaurant certainly seemed to deserve the accolades it shows in Google.

In summary, great food, but very poor service! We waited over 50 mins to receive our first drink. No napkins on the table and we had to ask for them. We then had the privilege of being over charged as they got our bill wrong!!! 3 stars given due to the quality of the food. Just very poor and did not meet with expectations. Feedback given on the night, but no resolution or apology. Overall…….Disappointing

Went here with a group of friends, Amazing food and attentive staff. Great atmosphere can’t fault the place. They have recently won multiple awards and I can see why as the food and service is truly amazing. A must try if you’re visiting stoke. Ps: I recommend the Garlic Chicken chilli

Me and my friend came on a very busy Saturday night after hearing they have won an award recently We had to wait around 25 minutes for the table, but we were given free drinks while we waited which was a very nice gesture and the restaurant itself looks fantastic so we didn’t mind. I ordered a few cocktails and they were delicious made to a very high standard and relatively cheap for the quality! Then the food came, we had a full 3 course meal. The stand-outs for me were the red chilli relish which we kept throughout our meal, the tandoori chops starter and my lamb patia. All these were delicious and fully worth the wait! We understand why they are so busy and can’t wait to come again !!

Recently read that Alessi had been named the “Critic's Choice Restaurant of the Year at the 2022 English Curry Awards.” As the place is about 20 miles away, decided to visit tonight with a friend to mark a birthday. The atmosphere and setting was lovely and the service was perfect. As for the food, it was delicious and delightful with agreement that return visit is on the cards in the near future.
