Food was so good, Polly our waiter couldn’t have been any nicer and her recommendation on the beef short rib starter was amazing.
Lovely menu. It made sense and delivered from menu to plate to palette. Most hotels like this depend on a captive audience and can serve almost anything. At this locale they did something I love. The meat was from the local area, not frozen and cooked with care that comes through on the fork. The food is great but won’t melt your face off. The service standards are high but not Michelin (it’s local, there’s flair and charm). The atmosphere is actually quite good. I feel comfortable saying I could eat there for a few days straight.
Great food and better service. We've been here 3 times now via a spa deal and the food has been outstanding. Service is great. Not slow but not at all rushed. The menu has just enough choice that you're not overwhelmed and usually each meal we get is delicious. Would definitely visit here if we weren't coming to the spa, if we lived closer.
An excellent venue, with well-tgought-out decor, a lovely ambience, great service and very good food. Well worth a visit. It's in the Manor House Hotel where they also have a spa and a swimming pool (apparently with a swim-up bar!) so you could tie the experience in with a getaway break. We didn't, we just ate, but it was a really nice place to go and reasonably priced, too.
I couldn’t fault the service or the food during my visit this evening. We were served by a young lady who, despite it being her first day, was absolutely fantastic. If I hadn’t been told, I would never have guessed she was new! She made us feel incredibly welcome and comfortable throughout the meal. I feel awful for not catching her name, but she truly went above and beyond, contributing to a memorable experience. I’ll definitely be back again soon!
Absolutely lovey places. Very tasty food and great choice of drinks. The atmosphere is so cosy and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Came for fathers day lunch and got a free pint! Not been before but the food was amazing! Only thing I would say is the service isn’t the quickest when collecting plates/next course etc But we were in no rush so it was all good Can’t wait to come back!
Excellent staff in these testing times. They were friendly & attentive. The new menu was introduced whilst we were there & the food was plentiful & tasty.
