Truly excellent. The service was so good, the waiter had a good conversation with me about the food when I asked and he explained some interesting things. It was the best quality chinese restuarant ive been to in the UK.
Our first visit recently and overall our impression was very positive The service was excellent and staff extremely friendly, the menu is extensive with many combinations of food and prices reasonable. Food very good in the main the only disappointment was the tempura mixed vegetables which was basically green peppers in a heavy batter. Recommend
We had a family meal here last night, been several times, the foods always been great. Last night there was a table of 4 Men accompanied by 6 children. There behaviour was terrible and their children’s wasn’t much better. They were very loud, swearing, having no consideration for other dinners!! I’m amazed the staff didn’t say anything to them, but it seems that they’re regular customers, their bill was over £300 so the staff obviously value their money more than customer satisfaction. We were never asked if everything was ok, I think they’d know what the reply would have been. So unfortunately if they’re regular customers we won’t be visiting again, which is a shame as the food was really nice, what a shame China Gardens!!
Food was amazing! Looked too busy but we were lucky enough to get a table for two. Staff were all smiles and very friendly. Can’t fault the food or service. Highly recommend the yuzu mojito, duck to share starter, crispy beef in Peking sauce and chicken in lemon sauce. Absolutely divine.
Very nice food. Very passionate owner who wishes to share the joy of canton food. Respect! Some traditional canton dishes can be found here like pipa tofu. Recommend!
A great meal once again, friendly service, reasonably priced and food was delicious!
Wanted a Chinese takeaway for a group of 12 to celebrate my mum's birthday. 2 of our group are MSG intolerant but we all dip in rather than having our own dishes. The Chef could not have been more helpful and the food was ready when they said it would be. More pricey than your usual takeaway but food was really lovely - will definitely be back,.
By far my favourite local Asian restaurant! Nowhere compares. Never disappointed with the food and customer service, we go to sit it the restaurant for family occasions and also love to have the food delivered, my favourite dish is the green thia curry the sauce is just delicious and full of flavour a rich creamy sauce with no suprise added ingredients!! This is that Chinese food restaurant that ruins all others for you. Everywhere else will seem bland, over-salted or lacking in choice - Chinese Garden knocks it out of the park on all counts. I recommend treating yourself to their salt and pepper mushrooms or the amazingly light and crisp spring rolls. Veggies and vegans can enjoy a huge selection of options here - just waiting for them to start offering mock duck and it will be perfect! The staff are so friendly and cheerful - I maybe order delivery once every couple of months and they still all know my name and ask me how I am. It's that little touch of community that makes this place extra special.
Just come back from my birthday meal here at the Chinese garden with my girlfriend , delicious food as always and wonderful friendly staff. They went through a lot of effort to make it a great meal and it was fantastic. We have eaten here a few times before and we will definitely be back.
