   This is my local chippy (5 minute walk) and I’d rather go to a chippy on the other side of Crewe than go here again. The food is really good and portion sizes are also good. Customer service, however, is something that they need to work on. I’ve been in 3 times before and every time I was ignored, was stared down by staff and was spoken down to when I asked for the sauce from the meal deal on the side. The tall man who served us didn’t say a word to us while serving apart from when I asked him a question and he looked as though he was ready for a fight. Would genuinely rather eat poorer quality food than fund this type of customer service.

   We used the chippy van for our wedding. Everybody loved it and commented on the food, we requested some special dietary requirements for a few guests which was no trouble. Thank you for catering, would highly recommend and would use again for any future functions.

   Poor service ignorant staff only had home made pie which was slop in a tray with a crust lid on "bizarre" chips tasted and smelt greasy .on getting home I tasted and nearly threw up needless to say it went straight in the bin .what an experience absolutely vile.and expensive too . My advice in future if its open go to bennys on readesdale avenue avoid this place at all costs ..

   food was good and price was value for money but customer service clearly isn't something the staff are trained in. The woman with long dark hair that served us seemed more interested in wanting to sit down and talk about love island than service with a smile. When asked if we could have the 2 sides with the meal deal in separate pots, the woman looked at us as if we had 2 heads and said because it was a meal deal and so 'cheap' that they had to be on the food. I mean who wants their gravy and curry mixed together?? When she could tell we weren't happy about this she preceded to say it still had to go on the food. This is ridiculous and I've never been a chip shop before where asking for a side on the SIDE isn't possible. If food wasn't good then this would've been 1 star. It's safe to say your award winning title isn't in customer service, will be sticking to coral reef in Nantwich next time.

   I came here to try out this place as it was on the newspaper and it was a big public chippy which was apparently one of the best, I travelled from quite far to try out the food here and I can truly say it didn't hit my expectations but it was still decent. It's a pretty good chippy even if it isn't the best one I've seen. I'd recommend this place on especially how hard working the staff are and how clean and spotless this place is! When you come here you can tell you're getting nothing but a high end quality product even if doesn't taste the best. The white interior design truly makes this chippy standout along with it having a seating area which most chippys don't have! Getting to see the person peeling the potatoes through a glass window is also very appealing.
