Had a lovely meal last night. We had starters and mains. Food was delicious, hot and served in a good time. Staff very friendly and welcoming. 5/5 from me. No complaints whatsoever. We will definitely return and recommend to others.
The staff are very friendly and would like to share their stories and culture. I learned that they are from Bangladesh and serve authentic Bangladeshi and Indian food. I would give them a 5-star rating for their excellent service. The only downside was that the toilet wasn’t very clean.
Friendly service and atmosphere, food was delivered hot and promptly. Tasted great and really filling, and great portion sizes. Only critique is that the food and rice were both overly oiley which was a bit off putting. Would we visit again, yes we would.
I was searching for a halal restaurant in Buxton travelling past from London and finally found the perfect spot to satisfy my cravings. I ordered a lamb curry with naan and plain rice, and it was delicious, I also ordered a buttermilk chicken. The restaurant even included an extra portion of rice and naan for me to take home with my leftovers. As it was my first visit, they kindly offered me a complimentary ice cream, which was a lovely touch and tasted amazing! The service was excellent, and the location is conveniently situated on a high street with plenty of parking. The only minor drawback was that the lamb was slightly tougher than I prefer, as I usually opt for softer cuts. However, overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant for a great curry experience.
Staff wanted to be elsewhere, food poor & expensive. Don’t go. ‘Special’ king prawn comes with head & shell on! Tough fish masala that tasted awful apparently isn’t awful, it’s just that most other restaurants don’t cook it right…
locals told us this is the best curry house in Buxton well they were not wrong amazing Indian cuisine cooked to perfection and cobra on tap is always a winner We were a big group and they managed perfectly with all the food coming out together drinks topped up at just the right time. I asked for something that was not on the menu and it was no problem Be sure to book a table as it does get busy Take away is also available
What a gem. Great, tasty food. Very good curry and tandoori meat plater worth mentioning. Still sizzling.
Called in quite late for an impromptu curry and was really pleased when they squeezed us in just after last orders. The service was superb as usual and so was the food. A really nice relaxed atmosphere added to a very nice evening. Despite being late never felt rushed at all. Will definitely call again, but next time get there a bit earlier to enjoy it even more.
We had dinner at the Taj Mahal last night and it was spot on ! Lamb chop starters , followed by garlic chilli chicken , lamb karahi accompanied with garlic naan breads and a couple of cold beers. The interior decor is modern & bright and I wish the staff were as all of them looked quite glum.... however the food more than made up for this as it was superb and portion sizes quite generous. I would definitely return so have no hesitation in recommending.
