   Read a review online to say how good these guys were and it wasn’t wrong! Initially needed a replacement oven handle and Zack was kind enough to look through the spares in the back but sadly they didn’t have one. He then found a company who could provide one the next day. During our chat we established that the oven in question may in fact not be operable. Calling him the next day to confirm I needed a new oven and how much I could get one supplied and fitted by AO.com he went away for ten minutes and came back with a better quality oven, delivered with a ten minute delivery slot and fitted with old one taken away. Three days later it was delivered, fitted superbly by the two gents that arrived with it. Levelled perfectly, tested and old one taken away. They were lovely to work with and so helpful. Throughout the experience I was kept informed, received excellent customer service and where AO.com only provided a five our delivery slot, was provided with a call telling me ten minutes before the arrival. Excellent HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

   I posted a fridge repair job on Checkatrade which was outside of their remit (compressor repair). They contacted me promptly to explain they couldn't execute the work but gave me the contact details of a trader who possibly could - this resulted in a successful outcome. What an incredibly selfless act by the team at Barker's which has renewed my faith in human nature ! Next time I need an Electrical Appliance they'll be my first port of call ! Service above and beyond...

   Our TV suddenly turned off whilst watching it, this seemed to be an electrical fault as it would illuminate for a few seconds and then not. We decided to take our TV to R Barker in hope the TV could be repaired. They charged £30 to inspect it. The next week we had a call to say that the fault was that the screen was cracked in multiple places, in an email R Barker said 'This may have been due to over heating but it is very hard to tell. It doesn’t show signs of impact damage, it will need a new screen'. This news came as a shock as there was no previous visual damage to the TV or picture. We brought the TV back home and turned it on to see if it looked different from the original fault. We were frustrated to see there is now cracks all over the screen when it illuminates and damage to the rear cover where force has been used to try remove the panel with incorrect tools. It is very clear that the exact entry points they have tried to remove the rear cover, is also where the cracks start. R Barker have not provided an honest service. We requested that the £30 was refunded as a minimum to which they have refunded but we are now left with a TV that is beyond repair.

   After walking around various chain stores to try and get advice on a TV i was still absolutely confused as the staff had no knowledge and I felt lost. I then walked into R. Barker and for the first time I felt like there was people there who cared and also knew what they were talking about. I purchased a TV and could not be happier. For great advice and a great selection I recommend these guys!! Fantastic
