   Great food, lovely staff and a nice venue. It's rare to find a chef that truly crisps the salmon fillet (makes for a lovely, crunchy crisp) and unusual to pair with gnocchi - loved it! But the rhubarb and custard baked alaska with gin jelly was fabulous.

   Sister pub to the Black Horse in Ireland. Food is very comparable and service was excellent throughout. I had the sticky Korean BBQ ribs on egg fried rice. The ribs were seasoned and cooked very well, although the egg fried rice was lacking a little flavour. Solid 4/5. I then followed this up with the fish and chips, excited with what I received at the Black Horse in Ireland. The fish was very comparable, the chips were somehow even better, although the tartare sauce was chunkier and more intense in flavour which was not to my liking. 4/5. My wife had the duck with dauphinoise potatoes, broccoli topped with raspberry jus. The duck was perfectly cooked, pink in the middle with a crispy top. The dauphinoise were cooked in a mille-feuille style, very creamy and yet crispy, a perfect cook. The broccoli was also nicely seasoned and cooked with the jus complementing the duck nicely. A perfect 5/5 dish. For dessert we had the chocolate and cherry fudge torte. The consistency was a little bit dry with what was expected, however, the taste completely made up for it. The cherry sorbet in particular was exemplary and complemented the torte perfectly. 4/5 Overall a very pleasant meal and somewhere we will definitely visit again.

   First time here today. Great initial impressions as the bar area is very welcoming. Excellent customer service, and the option to preorder the food before getting to your table is a really good idea. Very comfortable seating in a bright and clean dining area. Really good food across 3 courses plus coffee. Generous portion sizes and very reasonable pricing. Definitely returning. The politeness of the staff deserves special praise.

   Great atmosphere, great food, friendly staff I was really impressed. After dining here a few months ago I had a kangaroo steak, which itself was interesting. It was cooked just wright, and the way it was presented. It was superb. would definitely recommend to friends and family. Although I feel this restaurant is better for couples dating. I will definitely be visiting again soon.

   Probably our third visit to The Birch. I would not hesitate to recommend this lovely restaurant. We went for an anniversary celebration and from the moment we walked in the staff we friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and it was a lovely touch to be given an anniversary card by the team . It’s not a cheap meal out if that is what you are looking for but it’s worth every penny for the fantastic service and delicious food . Thank you for a lovely evening .

   Had a lovely Sunday lunch at The Birch today. They have only just reopened and were very busy but everything was great. Every member of staff seemed happy and were all very personable, a great example of how hospitality should be. Food was equally great and we will definitely be back!
