Had a great meal there this evening. Food was great, as was the service. We were a large party which can sometimes be tricky, however the staff and especially the manager were all great. We have visited before and will definitely visit again. Thank you Adam and everyone for a great evening.
Had a lovely time at the Red lion! The sizzling dishes are a great choice and very delicious. Also had an amazing dessert which is new and the prices are so reasonable. Great service and friendly staff:) Very Christmassy inside!
Review from my parents: A really enjoyable evening, our dinners were delicious, cooked perfectly, terrific value and presented beautifully. Vicky and the team were terrific, as always, looking after us and the many other customers. A terrific atmosphere in a very lovely pub, thank you. We love The Red Lion, it's the heart of Elstow and Vicki and the team are always so lovely and chatty! We've got to know them all well and is always so welcoming when they recognise us and have a conversation with us. The food is always fabulous, can never fault and the price you cannot beat!
Staff were very accommodating to food intolerances, and our server Leah-Rose was kind and friendly. Food was quick to arrive and a good temperature, and very delicious! Lovely atmosphere, would come again! :D
3 stars for Atmosphere but that's because I was the only one in at just gone 17:00 Called in for food while working in the area and a very nice home made shepherd's pie and vegetables. Followed with a pint of lemonade. Will I visit again, yes, if you're into home cooked good food suggest you do as well.
Plus side is dog friendly staff were welcoming, the red lion looks very tired. We ordered lasagne and the large cod and chips,quite disappointed to be told that peas were 75p extra ,not mentioned on the menu. Needless to say I had no peas. I can still buy 3 tins of peas for 75p even in the current climate
Staff were friendly, food was good, the desserts were amazing, prices reasonable, family and pets welcome. Definitely visit again.
I was looking for somewhere to eat with my daughter. We went to another pub who referred us here because their kitchen was closed. The food was delicious and well presented and the service very quick and efficient and the staff friendly and polite. A dog friendly pub with several lovely and well behaved dogs. Perhaps we could have chosen somewhere better to sit but we were right by the bar and unfortunately some of the customers were less well behaved than the dogs, very rowdy and not at all mindful of their language.
Food is mostly great. Sometimes the meat isn't as well cooked as we liked. Very good adequate room both inside and out.
