Went to Sunday carvery today, prob the best Sunday roast in a pub weve had for ages. The food was hot, cooked to perfection. The staff were attentive and really looked after us. We had beef, pork and lamb selection, all incredibly delicious, the pork crackling was golden and crispy and the beef edge to edge pink. Can't wait to go back again!

We had pizza at the Shoe last night, having heard that it was good, and it was so good! My sister and I had the Truffle Shuffle Mushroom and Stilton pizza which was possibly the most delicious pizza I have ever had. It was gooey and cheesy with a good amount of toppings and a crust that was as delicious to munch on as the centre. My daughter had the smaller version of the margarita (as there was no kiddy option), and that was delicious too. Also the games cupboard is great, which is lovely as previously we felt The Shoe didn't really have much of a kiddy offering, but we had a great time playing vintage Frustration!

Haven't visited since the kitchen fire and new management took over the venue. The team are doing some incredible food outside over fire, wood and charcoal making the most of the situation without compromising on flavour and quality. One of our most frequented local businesses

We went for a Sunday roast after reading reviews about it. It disappointed us. It's a nice pub in a nice location but for the price payed I won't really be going back. Meat (beef) was overcooked and cauliflower cheese was watery and pretty flavourless. Sticky toffee pudding I am pretty sure it wasn't homemade as the color and texture weren't right. Service was nice and friendly.

Early Xmas work soirée. Great service, Nikki was fabulous from booking, arrival and ensured our dietary requirements were met. Fred made sure our drinks orders were on point! Couldn’t fault the food or service. Thank you for looking after our party! Highly recommend.

Lovely pub with large south West facing garden including tables with umbrellas for shade and a children's play area. Inside, the decor is understated with a rural theme that suits a village pub and makes the most of some nice original architectural features. Good selection of beers. Will be revisiting to sample the menu again, can't really comment on this as we haven't eaten here for several years. The Covid measures are really well implemented with good spacing between tables and clever use of clear panels. There is plenty of hand sanitiser and cleaning product available and table service makes it easy to stay safe. Brilliant as a refreshment stop and hopefully (to be tried out) still an excellent place to eat.
