   I found the food to be pretty basic—nothing special. The portions were extremely small, and for nearly £40, I expected a lot more. Usually, I spend that much to feed 2-3 people, but here, it only served one. The food also took about 30 minutes to prepare, which felt like a bit of a wait. On the plus side, they do accept card payments, which is rare for a Chinese takeout. Customer service was decent too; the lady at the counter was helpful and took the time to explain the menu when I had questions. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place if you're looking for good value for your money. There are definitely better options out there.

   We have been going to Spring Star for as long as I can remember, and they have never changed the superb quality and consistency of the food. I have recently begun a personal mission of mine to sample every item on the menu and have not been disappointed yet, in fact I have thoroughly enjoyed every moment if it. Quite possibly the best Chinese takeaway in town by a mile. Highly recommend

   New owner all ways on mobile. Food is sub standard. Asked her if food is same as old owners. She gave me my money back. Food is not the same quality. Owners are useless. Carry on ignoring customers. Phone call is more important. Chef cant cook. Food is what i would not feed to my dog. Rubbish. Rubbish

   Fast service, really friendly, lovely little lad serving, food was perfect. Best Chinese we’ve had in a very long time. Shame they don’t deliver but I’d happily drive to them for a guaranteed good meal.

   Such a shame, it has been taken over by new folks - so with heavy heart, I must change my review. In fairness the new people are very pleasant BUT the curry sauce instead of being absolutely awesome, now just tastes like the generic "chinese style bulk curry sauce" you get almost everywhere. It has that "browny yellow" almost translucent appearance that is typical of most of the cheap generic curry sauces. Previous owners used to use MASSES of large lump of meat - the meat with the new owners is ok - but only a fraction of what you used to get. Other than Yumeijin, I thought this was the best Chinese in town for the depth of flavour in their sauces. Now it is "average chinese effort" at best. I really wish they had bought the recipes from the previous owner - the difference between old recipe and new recipe is massive. Sadly I will not buy there again - and having spoken to others who have been there, I think they will find that their sales will start to decline. It was a 5/5 score (that was fully justified) down to a 2/5 which is only that high because 1/5 seemed a LITTLE mean as they are so pleasant. Why do restaurants never seem to realise that you need the recipes if you want to retain the old customers?

   This is the worst food ever, everything tastes the same the meat is fake and hard. The mushrooms are from a can. I spent 35pounds and had to re cook the food at home and add more flavour and it didn't help. It's like hospital food but the Chinese version.
