Went to Dunhelm in Norwich today. At 75 not a trip we make often. It's a long drive so with hospital visit we decided to visit Dunhelm. We got some new curtains and accessories. Got what we needed and there was just one customer at till. But another member of staff asked if we wanted to pay by card and go self service. We are not good at that. So Eric said yes if you do it for us? She said "yes." Anyway I asked if the trolly would go down car park as we parked down further and had a very large box and heavy curtains. She got quite abrupt and spoke like we were schoolchildren, like a headmistress, "talk one at a time!" She was so abrupt Eric, my husband said "wo wo wo!" By this time her attitude and facial expression which was nasty to say the least, had upset me. I said " hold on, well go to the counter with the service and till. It didn't stop there, her colleague who had stood by the sideline had disappeared through a door and then two other ladies come out of the door, near counter, individually and stared at us. One laughed kind of mockingly and went to cunter whispering to another assistant. The girl who then serviced us at the regular till was totally different. Polite, smiled and a lovely girl. She was member of staff to be proud of. Her name was Lucy and we were lucky to be served by her after a very unpleasant experience of some pretty miserable rude nasty staff. I must say we were both put off ever visiting the store again.

The staff are helpful and there are some good quality items in store. Their Christmas section this year is very minimal however. The cafe is so under staffed. We queued for almost 40 minutes as there was only one woman on the tills and making food and hot drinks. The food was nice, but a ham and cheese sandwich costs £4.90 which is madness.

Today, I went to Dunelm with a friend to explore curtains and rails. They had an impressive selection, and my friend found a lovely pair along with a nice pole. The only downside was that we couldn't find a tieback that complemented the curtains. A very helpful staff member informed us that not all curtains come with matching tiebacks, so we decided to look elsewhere for that. While we were there, I also took the chance to check out the in-store restaurant, which was quite busy. Finding an empty table can be a bit challenging due to its popularity. However, the atmosphere was still a relaxing experience, and everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals. We were among the first customers to use one of their four newly installed self-service kiosks, which worked smoothly. Along with the two cashiers, they seemed to have a great mix of options for checkout. Although there is a relatively large parking lot in front of the store, finding a parking spot during peak hours can be tricky. However, I noticed that since the closure of Homebase opposite , customers can now utilize their parking lot, which is part of the retail park. Overall, aside from the tieback issue, we both had a wonderful shopping experience. I will definitely be returning soon, and my friend is already a regular visitor, as it's one of his favorite stores!

Fairly much what I would expect from a Dunelm, mostly good quality products at a reasonable price. We found almost everything we needed, some areas seemed a little messier than others - however we did visit on a Saturday afternoon which i’m sure is one of their busiest days!

My first visit, and the stores stock and feel, is like a furniture centric 'Range' store dare I say ever so slightly more upmarket. I wasn't expecting much so I was impressed with the size, selection of stock and quality was fairly good. I attempted a Friday visit, which will not be replicated as this place was heaving and dare not imagine weekend and bank holiday foot traffic so word to wise pick your times carefully.

I went to this store to buy a certain item and came out with more than I wanted. I could not believe what a fine store you have with plenty of lovely things and at a nice price. Your staff are a credit, especially the lady at the curtain department, she was very helpful and she knew what she was doing, I was very impressed and will definitely be back. Thank you from a very satisfied customer

Good selection of item catering for all budgets, someone told me there is a café and there us a happy hour all drinks are half price after 3pm but I didn't see it, to busy looking at all them items. Very polite staff with good product knowledge. Definitely worth a look tucked in the corner of the sprowston retail park, there is a big carpark with disabled parking.
