We booked a Sunday lunch after calling ahead to confirm there was no lamb in the gravy, as I can’t have it. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told the opposite — that the gravy did contain lamb. There was no apology, just an offer of vegetarian gravy instead. The meal itself was disappointing: the cabbage was overcooked and jelly-like, the mash was lumpy, and even the vegetarian gravy wasn’t pleasant. My roast pork was dry and tough, likely reheated in the microwave, and I couldn’t eat the roast potatoes as they tasted of lamb. The only highlight was the vegetable soup starter, which was genuinely good. Portions of vegetables were quite small, and no one checked on us during or after the meal. Overall, a really poor experience — we won’t be returning.

Food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, staff were very friendly, and the music playing in the background created a lovely atmosphere. We got served fairly quickly and had our food in good time too. Would definitely recommend going here.

Excellent meal here. Credit to the chef(s), everything was cooked to perfection. Delicious. We had the mixed grill and the hunters chicken. I would definitely recommend this place for a meal.

We didn't eat here so can't comment on that side of things. But overall it's a very well maintained pub inside with a great feel. Restaurant area looked swanky with great lighting. We sat in the front bar area and played pool. One criticism is the TV was on very loudly and also the toilets really need renovating. Aside from that accommodating staff and pool table which is good. Nice pub for a drink.

Had our wedding reception here and they couldn't have done it any better. It was perfect! The venue was decorated beautifully. The wedding breakfast meal was lovely and the evening buffet was fantastic! The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for us.

What a little gem this place is, my mother is in a nursing home near by, which means we always dine out on Sunday. The Sunday roast is to die for we had the lamb, definitely Welsh, roast pots, mash, parsnips, carrots, swede, peas and cabbage, followed by a desert so fresh and a little pot of cream. Dave the young guy who served us would not be out of place in any London restaurant, so polite, welcoming and charming, thanks Dave for letting the chef know our appreciation of a gorgeous tummy bursting, tongue tingling Sunday lunch, time for a siesta after that

Great Sunday lunch here today with my wife and 6 year old daughter. Fitted us in last minute and the service from start to finish was great. Staff consistently asking us if our food was ok and if our drinks needed topping up. Nothing was too much trouble. The Sunday roast was great and the Lemon Cheescake dessert was exceptional. Well done staff and chefs - well deserved 5 stars.
