Unfortunately this was probably the worst “meal” I have ever had the pleasure of paying for. Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome but it was all downhill from here. We visited this restaurant for the first time on a Sunday and were trying the Sunday buffet which was priced at £25.95 for an adult and we were seated to a table in the corner by the window and very briefly told about the menu upon which the person who sat us walked off. We were the first ones into the restaurant and we sat there and sat there whilst the waiters never came over. Eventually I decided I would go a get a plate of food. The sushi options seemed reasonable however the hot food which I use the term loosely was already lukewarm warm just 10 minutes after opening. The noodles had a lack of flavour and were barely warm and a few of the other bits were ok. We then finally had a waiter come over to take our drinks order. Which again we were the only people in the restaurant and to bring 2 drinks it took over 10 minutes! We finished our plates of food and the menu said to order some specific dishes please do so at the kitchen but I presume this meant with the waiters and once again we waited and waited and nobody ever came to check on us - I had to go over after a number of failed attempts to get their attention to ask them to come to our table and take our food order. These skewers then arrived and were extremely small and to be honest very poor. A have attached an image of the beef one which you’d get more meat on a worm. By this point all I could think is what a waste of £60 this is going to be and I went and tried one more small plate of food trying some sushi which was ok and various other hot or in this case Luke warm dishes and ate some of it to then realise we simply didn’t want to be there no more as again no waiter had come to check on us yet they went to other tables. We again spent an age trying to flag down a waiter and asked them for the bill because at this point I couldn’t even be bothered to see what the desserts offered and reading 1 scoops of ice cream per person I already knew that would most likely be a let down too. The bill arrived with the cheek of a 10% service charge added which once the waiter had let us sit for a further 5 minutes or so even though there was just 4 items on the bill I asked for this be removed to which they responded they would need to speak with the manager (at this point I should have requested for the manager to come over) but in reality we was not enjoying our experience or meal and just wanted to leave so I could go get some edible food elsewhere. They returned the bill without the service so it was now the small sum of £65.35…. We paid and left and will not return or recommend unfortunately. Note to the Miya management I would provide some staff training. The staff were young teenagers and lacked the customer service and experience it seemed.

One of the best western style sushi places you could get in England. Their rolls were so good. Everything we had was amazing! Karaage (Japanese Fried chicken) was freshly made! Spacious seats, friendly and attentive staff! 9/10!

We went for the buffet Sunday lunch. Really great! I would recommend going when the buffet starts to ensure there are all the options available. The duck gyozas weren’t as quickly replenished as everything else when I went. The staff were lovely and tentative. It would be good to have a vegan option for dessert other than sorbet. But all options in the buffets were really good.

Food was lovely and the valentine's set menu was a great idea. The fact the seating is split in to multiple smaller rooms gives it a very cozy feel while there, which is added to by the relaxed music. Will happily be back in the future!

Not from the area but randomly searched this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon, was definitely not disappointed. The restaurant was very clean and decorated well, pleasantly surprised with the selection at the bar which was filled with top shelf spirits including Yamazaki and Blue Label to mention a few. The quality of the fish was great, sushi was extremely tasty and fresh. For main course I tried the salmon once again extremely fresh and very good. Would highly recommend and would visit if ever in the area again.

Peaceful atmosphere at lunchtime. Lovely food served very prettily. Good place for quiet meal or large party. Interesting rooms and decorations. Try their special tea with flowers in it. Well worth a visit, but not cheap.

High quality fish. What more need I say? If you like sushi and aren't afraid to pay a fair price then you should go to Miya. So far, my favourite restaurant in Aylesbury. Particular highlights worth trying are the duck and mango purée rolls and the Miya special with mozzerella, which works surprisingly well. The decor is lovely and my partner and I look forward to trying the teppanyaki bar in the future. Friends have since been and loved it.

The food was quite good . We had Katsu curry which was half authentic . Sushi, Dim sum , tempura, kids dish were good . The bar is mediocre - we ordered two mock tails and they tasted like water! Robinson’s taste better. For the price, I expected better presentation like a cocktail glass!! The service was mediocre for disabled people. A lady called Judy made us feel like the uninvited! She was rude and had no communication skills. For a high end restaurant- disappointing- compared to the crazy bear service .. this is appalling! I hope Nikki the owner actually survey the reviews !! Staffs needs more manners - only the Waiters were nice and thank you to them - JUDY AND BARMAN NEEDS TRAINING HENCE THE 3 stars!!
