Jack Murphys is always a stop i make on a night out. Fantasic vibes, great music and lovely bar staff. The bouncers are queationable on occasions but depending on when you go but most of the time absoutley fab.
seemingly underqualified bouncers didn't scan my id when it was not busy even when I asked them to even though all the other clubs did to verify my id without me asking.
Lydia was AMAZING!!! Give her a pay rise! She was amazing. Quick service and super nice
The cocktails were vile wish I didn’t have a sip at all 2 for £10 wouldn’t have paid £5 they used the machine which I don’t think pored the right drinks didn’t taste anything like what I ordered staff were lush and great music but I just can’t get over the drink

We were in jack Murphy’s tonight on wind street and we saw these girls get kicked out because of someone else’s behaviour. We left at the same time as the bouncers removed the girls from the club and we spoke to them. From what they told us one of the girls was crying because a bartender had kicked them out as apparently they had thrown a bottle at her. I would just like to clear up that I met these girls and they were taking shots the only thing they pushed on the bar was the empty shot glasses they had paid for after they had bought the shots they had ordered. At no point did they have a bottle. The bartender accused these girls of throwing a bottle of something at her. Which did not occur. The girls had just finished their shots and were trying to put them on the bar. I believe that it was a major misunderstanding and was dealt with in the wrong way. I spoke to the girls outside and I witnessed what had happened and I think if the bouncers had questioned the girls and looked at cctv they would have seen a different perspective. I’m sorry but I feel as a bystander this was dealt with in the wrong way. They didn’t even give the girls a chance to defend themselves. I am not saying this to take their side, but I feel the fact that they kicked them out straight away was wrong.
Got thrown up on. As well as my friends by a complete stranger. Evidence was clear on my friends. Instead of getting listened to I was taken to the front and kicked out after being searched and told "you'll be let back in". I was kicked out because apparently my hands showed I was "on something" they had no evidence and still kicked me out because I had a complaint. Take this as you will
I was drinking in here with my girlfriend on the evening of 8 February 2023. At approximately 10pm we were ordered to leave by a security guard, who told us that only students are allowed in the venue on Wednesday evenings after 10pm. The barmaid went outside to speak to the security guard on our behalf, explaining to him that she had no objections to us remaining inside the venue. However, the security guard made it clear to the barmaid that we must leave. The barmaid came back inside to speak to us, and was very apologetic, saying that it was out of her control. We have been regular customers here for the past couple of months, and have always found the bar staff to be very friendly and welcoming. However, it is clear that the bar staff have no control over their own venue, in that the security guards have the power to overrule and undermine their decisions. This is very bizarre and disturbing. Being a regular customer supporting their business, by paying money into their till, and to be treated in this manner is disgusting. To be ordered to leave on the ground that only students are allowed inside the venue after 10pm amounts to discrimination. For these reasons, I will never return to this venue.
Amazing care and kindness from the doorstaff, when I was in a situation that required help the doorstaff went above and beyond to ensure my safety and comfort. Such as providing me a heating mat and jacket, aswell as contacting multiple member of family and explain the situation. Without the staff I'm not sure what would have happened so I am very grateful.
I'd like to add my comments on this page and explain that from a door security point of view. Some of the comments I have read here are wrong and not a reflection of the security team that works here. As I am Head of security in this venue I can assure everyone that no thuggish behavior is tolerated and brief my team on such behavior and will be dismissed or moved on if I witness that behavior as I have zero tolerance for it. From the moment you enter the venue, you are greeted by myself and my team with a welcome, and my team will say good night as you leave the venue. I like the public/customers to feel safe and have a fantastic night. Unfortunately, the new Jack Murphy's has mixed reviews that have come under the new jack Murphys which have painted it In a bad light.
