   I’d been putting off a haircut for ages and had no idea where to go—until a friend said, “Go to Whip. Request Rui. They’re amazing.” So I did exactly that. I had my appointment on a Tuesday morning and walked in completely unprepared, long overdue for a serious chop. Rui was incredible. They really took the time to understand what I wanted and helped me achieve a style that felt like a fresh start. Their hands are unbelievably gentle, and the head massage? Hands down the best I’ve ever had. I felt completely looked after from start to finish. Highly recommend WhiP if you’re slightly traumatised from bad hairdresser experiences (like me) and looking for someone thoughtful, skilled, and genuinely caring. Perfect if you get overstimulated in salons too.

   I've been here a couple times now and had a really great experience at both appointments! The salon is a lovely environment and usually very quiet, making it an ideal choice for someone with anxiety or sensory sensitivities. James is clearly confident with cutting curly hair and is great at interpreting my stilted explanations of what I'm after and making suggestions of his own. Would definitely recommend!

   I had a restyle haircut with James F. after I cut my dreadlocks off so my hair was very damaged and uneven, but he turned it around and made it super beautiful and listened to what I wanted + added a lot of his own artistic ideas. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this salon to anyone because I often don’t feel comfortable with most hairdressers, but he created such a lovely atmosphere and natural conversation which means a lot to me! Thank you so much for the lovely experience!

   I had the pleasure of seeing Mel/Vanimal locks this week. My hair was in serious bad shape - old extensions which were matted, old dreadlocks, an awful lot of damage/breakage and about 6 different colours due to box dyes and self bleaching. I usually hate hair dressers and feel really nervous in them.but Mel made me feel at ease right away and the other staff were super friendly. Mel took on a mamoth job - i dont think a lot of stylists would of honestly taken on the colour correction, there was a lot of damage and a lot of mish mash colours (inc black/green/orange) yet she sorted it all out and made it all one stunning blue colour! On top of that shes fitted the best extensions ive ever had - im beyond happy and would recommend to anyone :D

   I had my first styled hair cut probably in about 15 years with Dee! I’m fully converted. She was an absolute diamond and made me feel at ease. Had endless compliments on my hair since and I’m walking round with a bounce and some life in my hair now :) Absolutely recommend!
