   Myself and 3 friends had lunch and drinks in the Joiners earlier today. I had physically gone into the pub, booked and chosen a table this morning but on arrival it had been used and the table had not been cleaned when I arrived a few hours later. No problem as the dining area was almost empty but that was the table I had chosen. The young bar lady/waitress was fine bless her. Friendly and quite helpful. She had to check on a few dishes we ordered but that was fine. The menu was extremely poor in choice!. Not like previous years. Food arrived.... very average quality. Unfortunately, there were a few other niggles as well. Too many to mention. Myself & a friend ordered the 2 for £18. However, when we went to the till to pay before leaving, we were informed that as we were not together by the till at the time of paying we could not have the offer price? I did question this and was told that's how the till works out the prices???????.... so as a result we were charged £10 per meal! Only £1 extra but totally misleading none the less. I have never heard of that ruling before? Anyway, no problem. We paid without fuss. Drinks were a bit pricey too. I have seen many different managers & management teams come & go over the past 12 years. I sincerely hope the new managers make a success of this lovely pub and wish them every success. Tweaks needed at "Front of House" service also. It has a great foundation to be a truly fabulous & profitable Public House. However, the lounge area on what is normally a peak Saturday afternoon was sadly practicaly empty for the whole 3 hours we were there.

   Everytime I go to the Joiner’s Arms, the food is always lovely and made with perfection. The staff are very polite and approachable. I am always greeted with a smile and the atmosphere is very warming. I would 100% recommend coming here for food and drinks on every occasion!

   One of my favourite restaurants to go to. The food is always immaculately presented and tastes absolutely outstanding. You can tell the ingredients are from a good source. The prices on food are such good value. The drinks are reasonably priced, I am especially fond of the 2 for £10 cocktails! Service is always amazing and the owner and his dad are really nice people who really care about their customers. I cannot recommend this place enough.

   Beautiful food and lovely staff. I had fish and my wife had a burger and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The sticky toffee pudding was the nicest my wife had ever tasted. We will definitely be back

   I would give a higher score for the food but the unpleasnt staff prompted me to give a lower score. Food was delicious but the staff are not friendly and made me feel like a nuisance. We were a large table of 24 celebrating a birthday on a Saturday evening and were not demanding or rude in any way but there were no pleasantries or smiles from staff. The restaurant was not overly busy but I was made to feel like a nuisance asking for the cake and was patronised by the manager/owner when i had the "cheek" to show my distate at this. He approached me and subtly put me in my place. I have been to other restaurants who are always happy to help with a cake so found this strange. If the staff were given some customer service training it would be the perfect place for an evening out. I will not rush back because if I am spending my money at an establishment I feel that I at least deserve a smile.

   Lovely venison sausages, mash, and peas, with onion gravy. Heard some nice live music from the kitchen. Pity it didn't last. It was more enjoyable than the radio.
