   Very disappointing experience for a first haircut and a shame as was recommended. Was asked which choice of car seats but insisted she wanted him to be in the pink car which I declined. The salon and cars were empty. The appointment was with alethea. Default was to shove in front of a screen which I get is suitable for other children but I wasn't even asked and we don't do screens so I asked for it not to be on. I had said that I didn't want buzz cut or buzzer on his hair just a little trim- no other question asked. She cut a massive chunk off the front (my favourite part of his hair) so looked like a bowl cut. Said that most parents ask for a little and end up having more off - I wasn't even given the choice she just chopped that part first and way too much than I hoped. I wasn't even that precious about it until I saw the straight short fridge line. She said she thought I wanted a buzz cut and I had to ask her to add more layers in the front to try and make it less like a bowl cut at the front. Tried to take a photo on her phone but chose a terrible one so I said I would take a better one for his certificate. She suggested one that was not a flattering photo at all for this special memory. Plus she used her own phone which was a bit unprofessional and would like photos deleted from personal phone.... I sent the photo straight to printer as she didn't know how to do... On the certificate it stated '17th 12th 2025' I asked what that was as never in my life have I seen a date written that way- so asked this to be changed to either 17/12/2025 or written in full- very very bizarre. Was told 'that's how we always write it'. When asked to redo it because it looked wierd, there was a 'tut' and 'well I have two customers waiting'...? I insisted the reprint. Photo wasn't even cut straight for lamination - just very poor on that part. Said she wasn’t going to use a gown so he got covered in tiny hairs all in his hoodie and down his baby grow. Didn’t brush him off - I had to do. He loved the tree, the balloon and the cars were nice but service was just overall bizarre and a shame for his first time. Cute certificate if don’t correctly. Overpriced and left very upset and pissed off. It's his first Christmas and first birthday in the next few weeks !! I think I have to pay another person to fix it

   Wonderful confident hairdresser! My son hates hair cuts, she was so good and quick with his hair, took about 10 minutes. I highly recommend this hairdresser to any family who has children that hate hair cuts. Thank you so much Bert and Belle xxx

   Took my 2 year old in for a haircut. We wasn't greeted by the women behind the desk, she wasn't friendly and didn't talk to my little girl at all. My daughter was a little anxious and she did nothing to try and help the situation. I suggested putting the tv, I suggested and asked for a lollypop. When she finally sat down for the cut I asked for a tidy fringe and just a small cut all over. The fringe looked like a bowl cut it was closer to her hairline than her eyebrows. My daughter is a bridesmaid in 3 days time and her hair is horrendous. I won't be going back to this salon. My daughter would have done a better job herself and it would have saved £20. If I could give a 0 star rating I would

   Bertie and Belle are brilliant, the concept is a great idea, the lollipop and balloon at the end of the cut too. My little boy is such a fidget and never sits still, but our fab hairdresser still managed to get a really decent lovely cut done, we took off 4 inches and had a style done. She was so very patient and kind to us. We've been twice and travelled 45 mins, which we will continue to do. Thanks!

   I recently took my baby to this fantastic baby hairdresser, and it was an absolute delight! The little cars for the children to sit in made the experience so much fun for my little one. The hairdresser was incredibly conscientious and careful during the haircut, which put me at ease. What stood out the most was the thoughtful touch of providing a lovely certificate at the end of the haircut, complete with a lock of my baby's hair. It felt like a charming keepsake. And to top it off, the balloon they gave my baby made him incredibly happy. Overall, a wonderful experience that made the haircut enjoyable for both the little one and me.

   Thank you to Jadalina for the cut she did on my son’s hair. Lovely, friendly and always has the children’s best interests at heart. Will definitely go again and if possible to have Jadalina to cut it again. They give the children a balloon and a lollipop as a reward. Thanks, Jason

   Terrible. I booked an appointment weeks ago. When I turned up I had to take an urgent phone call from my child’s hospital. I waved at the lady through the window and she acknowledged me. When I went in she had given away my slot and was incredibly rude to me in front of other customers. I’m very upset and will not be rebooking with them.

   We have been coming here for 6 months and latest visit this morning. Our son was very nervous at getting haircuts, but the team at Bertie and Belle have been so kind and patient. Our visit this morning with Lucy was great and so less stressful than failed attempts at other local places for kids haircuts. Would highly recommend especially for reluctant kids.

   My daughter had her first haircut here in 2020 and the photograph they gave us with a certificate still sits proudly on our wall. Every time we go in, they seem to charge us less than the full price because it’s usually a fringe trim. Really happy with this lovely place.

   Very lovely place with TVs and cars. Staff were kind and amazing. Lucy is great with kids and gave us exactly what we asked for. We get fantastic cuts every time. The only flaw is the little ones never want to leave as Lucy is so fun and great with kids. Always excited to come back. Very warm and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend.
