   During a surprise rain downpour (with my baby strapped to me in a carrier), the lovely staff at Charlie Clark saw me taking cover and insisted that I wait inside in the warm until the rain stops. I watched them cut two people's hair and they did a wonderful job. I'll definitely recommend that my husband gets his hair cut there from now on. Really brilliant staff who are not only lovely but brilliant at their job! Thank you

   The atmosphere was warm, friendly, and relaxed from the moment I walked in. I had a great scissor cut with George, who took his time and made sure to check in with me about how short I wanted to go. He clearly explained what he was planning to do, which I really appreciated. A genuinely nice guy. The whole team were welcoming – a great vibe all round. Highly recommended!

   Miserable staff and poor quality haircut. There were 4 guys workings, but no customers. Whilst I was having my hair cut the other 3 just sat there either playing on their phone, staring into the mirror or talking loudly on the phone. I was made to feel really unwelcome. The haircut was dreadful too, had to get it re-cut elsewhere.

   3 cuts here over last 18 months. 2 amazing- latest yesterday no different than mister toppers. Except £30 more. Booked online. Regardless of what I booked the guy- didn’t wash, only spray water didn’t shape or style beard just used one standard clipper across all of it, didn’t trim beard to clear lines, haircut has an incredible 1980s football fan step in, didn’t follow any of the current shape, very little scissor work, 90 percent done with the buzz razor. No blending even attempted all around, no use of the razor to sharpen lines. Felt like a step back 20 years from what a modern barber does. Charged £35! It’s not the price but for the price difficult to see the difference between experience here and mr toppers. Plenty of Turkish barbers on church road where the lads at least listen to you and try and give you something modern. Avoid.

   Really enjoyed my first visit today. Good service, friendly staff and even had a fresh coffee after my cut. Brett cut my hair and did a great job. Took his time and made sure he knew what I was after before he got started. Very happy with the result. Will be back.

   Charlie Clark is a great barbers. You are certain to get a warm and friendly welcome there every time. Mick and the team provide a great service at decent prices. You can also get a small batch coffee while you're getting a haircut. I've been getting my haircut at Charlie Clark for years and also taken my two young boys. Highly recommended
