If your looking for a garage who now’s what they are doing and offer a great service at a very good rate for work you want go wrong with 1 Stop Auto. Just had a major issue with my daughter car and one stop sorted it out late on a Friday can’t thank them enough for great service and going the extra mile thank you Wayne Mr Ward
Took my car to 1 Stop Auto for a standard MOT, already knowing it would likely fail due to an ABS light. I explained this to the garage and asked them to let me know how much it would cost to fix so it could pass. Days went by with zero communication. I had to call them myself, only to be told: “We don’t know what’s wrong — our auto electrician only comes in once a week and charges £60 just to look at it.” Not ideal, but fine, I wanted it sorted. Another day passed and I called again. This time they said, “Yeah, it’s passed the MOT… but the ABS light has come back on. We’ll keep it over the weekend and look again Monday.” I didn’t argue, just glad it passed and trusted them to sort the rest. The following week I called again — no updates unless I chased. Finally, they said, “Your car’s ready to collect.” I asked for the cost and was hit with: £285. No breakdown, no warning, no explanation until I turned up. That’s when the owner casually told me, “Sorry, we couldn’t actually fix the problem — our guy worked on it for 4 hours and said you need a whole new steering column.” Wait… what?! So they hired an external electrician, let him rack up 4 hours of work, couldn’t fix the issue, and still charged me nearly £300 — without ever asking or updating me? When I said it felt like I was being ripped off, the owner literally shrugged and said, “What do you want me to do? That’s what he charged me, so I’m charging you.” That’s not just bad service — it’s a scam. No transparency, no communication, no respect for the customer. Any decent garage would’ve discussed costs and options before letting an external person work on the car — especially when the problem wasn’t even resolved. If you’re reading this and thinking of using 1 Stop Auto — don’t. They kept my car unnecessarily, wasted my time, and handed me a surprise bill for a job they didn’t even complete. Absolutely not recommended.
Absolutely disgusting service paid them £340 to have an mot, they changed the headlight its was wonky and loose, took it to another garage the day after to have a service they put it up on the ramp and showed me there was a massive hole in the radiator tube where the oilmwasnpouring out, all the sills underneath you could put your fingers through there was oil splattered everywhere, and they passed this on the mot, absolute cowboys, where I took it for a service showed me all of what they missed said if that car was driven again after being passed for the mot it would of exploded with us in the car, disgraceful, disgusting service they have been reported to vosa, and hopefully have thier licence taken off them, I'm surprised they haven't had a death on thier hands or probably have and Absolutely disgusted with the way we been treated and everyone will know about it, when I rang them up to see why they had let this pass they said the engine is nothing to do with the mot, what a bunch of freaks that's the main part of the car that needs to be safe to ensure everyone's safety DO NOT GO NEAR these cowboys
Great service again from Nicky at 1 Stop Auto. Replacement turbo & clutch along with a full service and car returned to me driving better than ever. I won’t go anywhere else - reliable, trustworthy and will go above and beyond to help.

Great place but i have to take issue with the reviewer "dave langrish" above. How would he know the garage doesnt want to bother with his old scrap anyway, besides hes a dodgy toad shagger and his mrs lives on the roof of their house because of him.
I damaged the boot lid of my car on the way out to the MOT- 27 th July. I know that garages customarily submit cars for MOT before doing any work so that they know what work needs to be done. The boot lid would have been a fail but I asked for the full mot to be done anyway. I was given a completed tick sheet with list of advisories and two reasons for fail and emissions test, charged £40. The garage advertises free retest. I arranged for the work to be done and re test on 4th August - As I was without a car I was lucky in that my son replaced the boot lid and repositioned the wing mirror bulb for me on the 30th July. I let the garage know on the Monday first thing and was asked to bring it down for retest at 4pm. I did so and then the owner said that it was a pretest and I’d have to have the full MOT done again - on the 4th August. At no point had I been told that the first test was a pretest - until I turned up on the Monday for retest. I was charged £40 for it. When I collected my car on Thursday I was told £40 - again . ie £80 for an MOT. I objected and was told I’d have to speak to some man who very conveniently wasn’t there. I asked for a receipt and was told they didn’t give them for contactless payments - they hadn’t given me one for the bank transfer payment I’d made the first time either though both are listed on my bank statement. Needless to say I won’t be taking any business to 1 Stop Auto again.
