   Thank you so much guys at Halfords yesterday (27/12/25). My husbands Audi. A6 needed a new battery, he is very poorly and I had to navigate finding and understanding the process of getting the work caring out swiftly . Joel was an absolute star going above and beyond to help me through the process along with replacing a battery that was so difficult to access but he succeeded and was polite through the job.    I turned up for 11am appointment which was booked over the phone and told I would have a very long wait and when asked why I was told my appointment was at 12.42. I said no it was booked for 11am, the male receptionist said ' I am not going to argue with you'. I could not believe his manner and the way he spoke to me. 'I can see the time of your appointment as I am looking at the computer' I was dismissed with. I had made the appointment over the phone and I suspect with this man. Couldn't believe how rude and dismissive he was. Disgusting way to speak to a customer.

   Cancelled visit due to non delivery of tyres But not before I arrived . Next day appointment 1 hr before starting work, then took further 2hrs to change four tyres, questionable health check on brakes. They adjusted tracking after "free check" with out clearance but to be fair when I pointed this out they didn't charge . They did query the need for replacing rear tyres (a positive) Generally a unhappy place to spend 3 hrs at, the atmosphere on site very poor and a cramped waiting room . Waiting feed back on official complaint. Good price but HALFORDS NEED TO UP THIER GAME if they are serious about expanding in the tyre market.

   I was particularly impressed by Jack and Joel who were very helpful and knowledgeable and introduced me to their offers. The job was done as expected although the 13:30 appointment was just informal and on that note a proper waiting room with some vending machine is desirable. Otherwise I’m happy with the work.

   They did the MOT on my car. It failed on something minor, I got it fixed, took it for retest. Boom, done. Nice and easy, friendly and helpful staff. Will use from now on since my old regular garage shut down I was sceptical about using a franchise garage but it couldn't have been easier. No cost run ups like I got from Kwik Fit (£470 for spark plugs and coils).

   Lovely helpful staff who fit us in on a Sunday morning to fix our brakes that had gone the day before after a long trip down from Manchester, making it safe for us to travel home to our children. Both mechanics were super knowledgeable and very very friendly! Can’t thank them enough for their help!
