Pogue Mahon's was the perfect venue for our engagement party. Tucked away upstairs in Magoo's bar and fantastic service but the bar staff in the room. Pogue Mahon's simply couldn't of done more for us to make our evening memorable! A fantastic pub with a fantastic atmosphere
Beautifully decorated for Christmas. We visited as they have 0% Guinness on tap & had the machine to print on top for a bit of fun. Was just a bonus there was live music playing when we visited. Really lovely pub and we will make effort to come back again.
Love this place! Pogues Mahones has such a fun vibe and the staff are always super friendly. Drinks are solid, prices are fair, and there’s usually great music or a lively crowd to keep the atmosphere buzzing. Definitely one of those pubs you can just relax in with friends and know you’ll have a good time
Had a bottomless brunch yesterday, and it was brilliant! The drinks were really good, and came in good time. We all chose burgers and they were delicious, it was a big meal! The staff were attentive and friendly. There was music on, but not too loud that you can't talk, which was a good level. Highly recommended.
We had an absolutely amazing Sunday roast at Pogue Mahon’s! The food was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful meats, perfectly crispy roast potatoes, and delicious homemade Yorkshire puddings. The portions were generous, and every bite was packed with comforting, rich flavors. The atmosphere was fantastic, with a warm and welcoming pub feel that made for a perfect Sunday afternoon. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Adding to the experience, The Rugby was playing in the background, creating a brilliant atmosphere that made the meal even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a top-notch Sunday roast in a great setting, I highly recommend Pogue Mahon’s. And the Baby Guinness We’ll definitely be back!
Great staff and reasonable prices. Really lively on the ground floor when we visited with an Irish band properly belting out their tunes. Decided to check out the downstairs area and take a break from the pandemonium. Really great mood lighting downstairs along with a small bar and 2 gender neutral toilets making use of original features of the building. Was really chilled when we visited, although they do put on performances downstairs on occasion.
One of my favourite pubs in Norwich. The pub has a great atmosphere and a good selection of drinks. The staff are really friendly and so are the customers - I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys an Irish pub

Live music Thursday to Sunday, amazing roasts on Sunday plus even tho its situated in an area that normally entertains 18-21 yr olds its has a over 25 policy that means you get a different crowd to any other venue on the street
Having visited on a Saturday for a few drinks and now a Sunday roast! I can highly recommend anyone visit, it has such a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and great staff. The roast dinner is super tasty and the portion sizes are so generous (as is dessert). I will definitely be coming back a lot more!
