   I've been there last Wednesday and they were closed.. There is no indication online that they are closed.. I've traveled from far to buy nuts and bolts from The Nut and Bolt store to also find two other disgruntled people outside..also upset about the fact that they had traveled far to purchase some nuts and bolts. One guy outside told me he was there on Monday as well and they were closed too... I've taken the liberty to try and call them several times.. With no availability... So I unfortunately have to give this business a one star.. To be this aPathetic in 2025.. Willing to change to 3 stars if they can respond

   Superb shop. Friendly, knowledgeable, patient and very, very willing to solve any nut or bolt problem. I had a small candelabra missing an essential tiny bolt. They sorted it out there and then. We need more shops with this positive attitude and we could have our economy booming in no time.

   GREAT VALUE. GREAT SERVICE. Having rung around a few shops yesterday I went to The Nut and Bolt Store looking for a replacement grub screw for a light fitting I'd bought online. The owner was very friendly and they had exactly what I needed and even fixed something on the light fitting for me too!!! Thoroughly recommend.

   Been here a few years ago with an old tutor to pickup bits for a project... well yesterday I needed some nuts for my shocks on my discovery offroader.... and they sprung to mind! Went in today amazing customer service lovely plate and so helpful and definitely will keep them in mind and recommend to anyone in need of hardware.

   I'm an infrequent customer to this business, but generally have been very satisfied with their specialist stock and helpful service. No so much today though. Went in for a few nuts which only came to 45p. Discovered I only had a £20 note or a card to pay. Was told that they apply a minimum purchase of £1.50 for card payments (not illegal - but definitely against the rules of the card companies). So handed over the £20 but a second later found a £1 coin in the bottom of a pocket. Obviously the staff member wanted my £20 note which was still in his hand. Too late he said and proceeded to load me up with change. Why it was too late when my note hadn't even gone into the open till - only he would know. He wasn't able to look me in the eye and give any explanation. I'm sure they're not going to be missing my trade. But very disappointing to receive this kind of service from a shop that I really quite liked....
