   I was staying in the area and discovered this place on my last day, I wish it had been the first. Great community pub with a good selection of ales and not expensive. I didn’t eat there but the food menu looked good.

   Lively pub within walking distance of the city centre. Recently got a new head chef who's taking the food up a notch with a special's menu. My friends and I ordered all 3 starters to share because everything sounded so yummy we wanted to try it all! We were not disappointed, everything was well presented and so tasty. There's also a house menu with more traditional pub grub and generous portions. The highlight though was the lemon posset which was absolutely delicious! Will definitely return to try whatever comes next on the menu and highly recommend to anyone looking for good, but reasonably priced food.

   Not Victorian as it says in the description, but 1950s. Good pub food, fantastic selection of 10 real ales, very friendly staff. A great example of what a good local pub should be like. One of the best, if not THE best, pub in Norwich. Sadly, after Covid/Brexit, the food options are not what they were due to staff shortages. There are pop-up food stalls twice a week in the evening, and Sunday roasts. Beer options are however still excellent!

   I’ve been visiting this pub for over 20 years. The beers are always excellent. Just lately the place has been let down by the bar staff. There’s a thin bloke with a beard who was rude and unfriendly. I didn’t feel welcome at all. We had one drink and then left. 7pm on a Friday and the place is near empty tells me others are voting with their feet. Cheer up man.

   A breath of fresh air. Wandered up here after the city centre pubs left us wanting. We were not disappointed. Bright cheery place with a good vibe. Excellent well kept selection of ales. So happy, we came back next day for a delicious Sunday roast and more ale.

   One of the best community pubs in Norwich! Great food! Some great traditional ales, including my favourite... Wherry! The whole pub looks like it's had a lick of paint recently. Staff are friendly, as are the locals.
