Fab proper pub with great classic pub grub and excellent beer. Very reasonable prices. Extremely hospitable staff.
Welcoming old fashioned pub. The food is traditional "pub grub". Not fancy but great value. Hence 5 stars.
Lovely little establishment. Stumbled across this place while staying away for work, and I'm so glad I did. If ever in the area I'd highly recommend dropping in for an evening trying the chicken and ham pie while you're there.
Traditional pub & a very warm welcome from Frances, Lorna, & the team. Good menu and good food at reasonable prices & served with a smile too. Beer is kept very well - which means I don't have to resort to lager from the pump in order to enjoy a glass or three. Has been our regular for four years as at Oct 24 and remains firmly on our list of regular places to stagger back from. Excellent. Unpredictably busy as it's a regulars haunt, so worth phoning ahead if you are banking on a table for pub grub.
Absolutely brilliant atmosphere. Awesome family owned pub with a warm fire and large beer garden out back. Always greeted with a smile. Great pub to meet and make friends.

Quite popular with the locals. Bar staff are very pleasant and helpful. Several areas where you can enjoy your meal and/or drink including an upstairs function room and outdoor space for those warmer months.
Great traditional pub with a nice outdoor area. Good pub food at reasonable prices and friendly management and staff. A good mix of young and old clientele.
Fantastic welcome on arrival at this lovely pub. Great pint of Nelsons and how good to be able to go to a pub and just order a sandwich. Served on white bread with crisps these it was tasty with good quality ingredients. Good to see that the bar interior is little changed.
