Went for lunch and a look around the garden centre. Food was excellent (had bap of the day- chicken and stuffing and he had lasagne) Service was great, no complaints. Staff/owners friendly and welcoming. Was lovely and warm with the fire going. Worth the trip out in the cold.

My friend and myself are very regular visitors to the cafe. We have enjoyed lunch on numerous occasions.. On Christmas Eve we decided to go again with 2 other family members.. What a mistake that was… Firstly we were told that there would be a reduced menu from 1pm but when we arrived just before 1pm were told we could only get soup chips or a Sandwich … If we had known before that the menu was that reduced we would have gone elsewhere… We ordered Sandwhich’s and chips … The bread was so hard and stale that none of us could eat it so we ended up just eating a bowl of chips … expensive lunch for just chips !!! We left Very disappointed !!!! We did look for complaint cards but there were none available … I don’t think we will be returning anytime soon !!!!

Booked a table for 3 for lunch on Friday. Tim greeted us and made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble from start to finish. He even took photos for us. The food was delicious and the service was great as always. It's such a lovely place to go and eat and then finish with a walk around the shop or the garden centre or both. Just love Jackson's Nursery.

Plants arrived today. No issues with delivery but what on earth is wrong with your plants? They clearly sent out the plants destined for this bin. Nothing was “cheap” but I could have got better from B&M or reduced from B&Q. You can see from the pictures what this company thinks is acceptable to send out. Do not order from here. Go to your local centre and pick for yourself. I’m actually fuming at the state of what I’ve been sent. I haven’t contacted them about this because I shouldn’t have too. You get one short at first impressions and they have failed terribly. Will not use or recommend them to anyone.

Disappointing Quality for the Price. I ordered 6 live plants online for £53.93 (including £9.99 expensive postage). After 9 days with no updates, I finally received a dispatch email—and the plants arrived the next day. While delivery was quick once dispatched. Unfortunately, the condition of the plants on arrival was very poor. As you can see in the photos, several of them arrived looking stressed, with yellowing, sick leaves black spots , wilting, or dried-out leaves. These are 9cm pots, and for the price paid, I honestly expected far better quality. This works out to nearly £7 per small plant—not cheap. For that amount, I feel I could have picked healthier and better-grown plants from a local garden centre or even B&Q. This experience has really put me off ordering plants online again. The convenience isn’t worth the risk of receiving plants in this condition.

Lovely coffee shop. Looked after by Tim. Very generous portions. Excellent chips. About 5£ a big pot of tea. Large outdoor terrace area for dining or just a coffee and cake. Well sized portions and £48 for 4 meals and a two big teapots. The cake looked amazing but I was full ! The tuna mayo on the baked potato was too big for me . Decent specials pie and big mash . Well worth a visit. I didn't visit the garden centre but it looked great from my table!Mum loved it too.

This is my favourite garden centre and nursery in the area! The gardens and outdoors are beautiful and the farm shop and coffee and tea rooms are splendid..the staff are also really helpful and nothing is too much trouble. They also carry a lovely selection of heritage garden pots!

Coffee shop great, good indoor or outdoor seating, plenty of space. Beautiful gluten free cakes, recommend the rhubarb crumble. Good selection of hanging baskets at the moment.

Myself and a friend went out for a bite to eat and we ended up at Jacksons Nurseries. We had a lovely table inside by the window. The view was very pleasant and it had a nice atmosphere. We both ordered sandwiches with an extra side of chips. The bread was so soft and really fresh. I had cheese and chutney and the chutney came in a separate pot so you could choose how much you would like on your sandwich. My friend tried the BLT and this didn't disappoint. The chicken was thick cut breast slices and the bacon was also of a very good quality. The chips were really tasty and we really couldn't fault any of it including the side salad and crisps. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and couldn't do enough for us. The prices were very reasonable and we really can't wait to go back.

Well what a well presented tea room . We went for breakfast and it wasn’t bad. Didn’t like the sausages but next time I wouldn’t have them. They cater for snacks, lite bites , cakes , meals Sunday lunches and afternoon teas. Prices are competitive. Friendly staff . Yes I would go back . Closes at 3pm which is a shame . The nursery it’s self is great as everything is in alphabetical order by name. Good quality plants I felt a bit on the expensive side but you get what you pay for . Very good set up . There are toilets available but not the best but do the job . The shop with all crafts and homemade pies, cakes was lovely. Definitely comeback.
