I have been using RR motors for several years, they look after my Volvo XC 60 as well as my VW golf and Citroen. They are always wonderfully helpful and carry out the work with care and professionalism at at very reasonable prices. It’s nice to be able to talk to the technicians and the owners about your vehicle and have a proper explanation of what is wrong and what it requires. I can’t rate this garage enough. I would highly recommend their services to anyone that is looking for maintenance work on their vehicle regardless of make. Another nice touch and most welcome is that when I pick up my vehicle they have taken the care to use a proper seat cover and floor mat to protect the interior which is not always the case, even at a main dealer! Most welcome.
We were up on holiday when an engine management light came on on our XC60. Rang RR Motors they fitted us in same day and diagnosed the problem and fitted a part for us all in half and hour. They also charged a very reasonable rate.
Have been using these guys for the last 3 years now to maintain my xc70, always have been polite and able to undertake any/ all repairs promptly and successfully. Price wise at £70+ a hour they are not the cheapest but are specialists in Volvo. Only complaint I would have is in line with another review, I booked in for a service was quoted a price, went to collect and the bill had doubled as they said it needed a different service (this was correct) but would have expected and appreciated a call to advise / authorise the work prior to going ahead, was a large bill days before a holiday which was difficult to budget, just a bit better communication needed for the extra star
Replaced a headlight bulb while I waited and didn’t charge for labour. Excellent service! (Although disappointed yesterday when I rang to ask how much it would cost to service my hybrid. The guy on the phone did not know and said he’d ring me back. He never did ring back so I’m booked in elsewhere).
I hade a flat tire & had to limp my car to the nearest garage which was r&r motors ( I had a spare wheel & Jack - but didn’t have a wheel brace to take the wheel off ) I went in & asked if I could borrow something to undo my wheel & the old guy behind the counter looked confused & said he was trying to sort hiself out & couldn’t help. Money wasn’t a problem - I just needed help. All the time I was looking at a garage full of tools. Thanks guys.

Having bought a vehicle in lockdown unseen with no test drive available I was understandly concerned about what I had bought. I was blown away with the service, they genuinely care about their customers and were keen to give me as much detail as possible on their findings. It was the reassurance I needed, and I'm so pleased I've found a garage so close to home that I can fully trust to look after my vehicles.
