Me & My wife Went here on our way Back From a Day out At Blakemere. Didn't Know what to Expect but I was Very Surprised. The Atmosphere Was Homely & Warm & The Food was Delicious & hearty. The Service Was also Top Quality. Normally I don't Give Such a Shining Review But out of all the Places We have tried this one has become a new Favourite. We often Frequent many Establishments on our Excursions but this one has Been by far the Best. My Wife who is a picky Eater Has not Stopped Talking About it. I Want to Give a Big Shout out To Jake & Stacey Who Served us From the Beginning & Took Good Care of us. Very Helpful, Patient and Absolutely worth a mention. Also whoever the chef is.... Just Well Done! Honestly Fantastic. Not only that but I Really love that there is nice Space within the Establishment. Plenty of nice Places to sit including for those Wanting to be out the way & Tucked away. Felt Very Homely. For the Food I will leave Images but I had the Lamb Shank Shepperd's Pie with a minty Gravy & Flavourful Greens. A Spectacular Dish that has become the best meal I've Eaten whilst out. Paired with a lovely Peach & Elderflower Crumble and Coconut Ice Cream. Thankyou all For the Wonderful Experience & a New Memory. Hope to Come Back soon. Highly Recommend.

Absolutely amazing food, everything tasted so good and all the food was freshly prepared and you could taste that. The clementine tart that i had was the best thing ive ever eaten in my life and would come back just for that! The staff were also incredible, Stacy and Jake treated us very nicely and were very accommodating. 10/10

We came in as we were stopping at the premier inn next door for an event. We thought we'd go here for the evening and were extremely surprised by the food and service. Every meal we had (steak, pork belly, pie, hallumi fries, desserts) were incredible. We had a very friendly waitress who I believe was called Emma. The experience was brilliant and couldn't recommened enough.

My wife and I visited the Blue Cap for our 34th wedding anniversary meal and was very well looked after by lovely Kayte. It was a very pleasant experience and the food was superb, well cooked and presented. (My compliments to the chef). It's a lovely pub/restaurant with a very pleasant atmosphere, clean and well set out. The staff were very helpful and attentive. We will definitely return and would recommend.

Clean, warm and welcoming. Disappointed that Martini was not available. Not everything available on menu but what we had was delicious and hot - served on hot plates. We enjoyed it.

Just where I needed to go for a nice drink and I was not disappointed. I will definitely be back soon! The decor and ambience were very inviting. Just the type of place you can come and enjoy on these dark and cold evenings. Or in the day with a book. The directions for parking areas could be a little clearer, as it was dark, but I have no other remarks.

Some of the best meals I've had for ages. Generous portions for the price, good quality ingredients and a wide selection of items on the menu. Friendly staff and a reasonable environment.
